Thank you. Is there another text link we could use? We don’t like google books as it is not accessible to everyone (e.g. in Australia)

The Mansion PL OK
Excellent first recording. Lots of expression, good pacing and beautifully clear.

I found a better text link 8-)

A couple of things I noticed, but don't need fixing... just be aware

1) Plosives ('p' sound) which is when your breath hits the mic. The best way to avoid this is to have your mic to the side or above so you aren't breathing directly onto it. You can also get a pop filter (cost about $12-15) which you attach to your mic and it diffuses the sound.

2) You changed the pronunciation of his name part way through, from "Whiteman" to "Waitman"

In the MW is the title "The Manson" or "The Mansion"? I wouldn't pick at this ordinarily but I'm not sure how cataloging works and if the entries in the window are just grabbed as is...

Thanks Colleen. Yes, cataloguing uses what is typed into the MW. I cheated and copied and pasted, but the correct title is The Mansion.

Thank you for your help and feedback. I have certainly learned a few things from my first attempt at recording a book and editing it.

The Valor of Cappen Varra

The volume is too low. Please amplify by about 5dB https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_z607awyLw

~0:24 Please repeat the title of the story

~35:15 -36:40 passage is repeated

My recording disappeared from the magic window. Should I see it somewhere else?
