That's soon enough, thanks. Especially since I'll have to take a look at the PL notes for section 45 - the reader seems AWOL and didn't respond to my pm... :?

I love your reading tone and pace! Totally enjoyable!
No issues regarding the reading, you're just missing the outro "end of section 13" at the very end. Please add it up, and send it back!

Cheers,
Ana

Grumble... how'd I miss the outro? Repaired version uploaded as https://librivox.org/uploads/availle/flowersfreethought2_13_foote_128kb.mp3

Here's section 19: https://librivox.org/uploads/availle/flowersfreethought2__19_foote_128kb.mp3

(10.07)

I think Foote went a bit overboard with his grammatical pedantry here. For example, he criticised Hughes for translating "mariage de convenance" as "marriage of convenience", but that's the translation I got when I tried an internet search. I wonder how Foote would have rendered it.

Thanks Ana, thank you Peter!

I think you're right, this one I was wondering about too. However, checking some dictionaries, "convenance" can mean convenience as well as
appropriateness, expediency, decency, fitting, expedience, congruence, and fairness. Maybe the term as a whole has had a change in meaning over the last 100 years?

Anyway, thanks for your swift turnaround!

I have also heard back from Adam, he has promised to send the corrected recording this weekend. With that, I guess we can wrap this up just before Chris... I mean before Newton's Birthday.

I was puzzled about the "Filename!" comment in the MW, and went back to my file to check. I had one too many underscores in the file name. I've uploaded the file again: https://librivox.org/uploads/availle/flowersfreethought2_19_foote_128kb.mp3

My apologies.

Thank you Peter, but there was no need to do that
If the only thing wrong with your recording is the filename, I can simply correct it on the server before cataloging - IF I remember to do this, that's where the note comes in.

But thanks anyway, it does make life easier for me if everything is how it should be

Lovely reading Adam! Thank you!
Sorry it took me so long.

Only 2 notes to smooth things out:

>00:19, the recording doesn't quite match the wording of the Intro. I hear "second edition" and the intro goes "second series". Please correct this so we can have a consistency of the recordings.
>00:27, the note marked with *, should be read right after the title. Please record it, and add it here.

Cheers,
Hi, I have updated from your notes. Hope this is ok. Apologies for the delay.
