A few things for Act 2 though:

> at about 3:29: (p. 83) missed line: "What d'ye mean ?"

> at 8:45: (p. 93) stumble and repeat: "who has placed" – can be cut once

> at 9:26: (p. 93) stumble and repeat: "I don't want you to relieve" – can get cut once

thanks, Adrian !

Sonia

awww, I really pity E-B in these acts, all goes haywire and they seem to be sinking into it more and more. He is kinda hysterical all throughout, no wonder he has a break-down in act 4. :? Actually it looks like Mrs E-B is more level-headed and a strong arm for her husband...need to take all this into consideration for my role.

An excellent job, Adrian. Two small additions and then you can relax from this rather taxing role.

for Act 3:
> at about 12:52: (p. 158) please insert: "What !"

for Act 4:
> at 0:01: "Mr Speaker – Sir !" – I hear "sleeper"

Act 2 is now PL ok.

Thank you

Jelf completed.

https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/times_jelf_1_128kb.mp3
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/times_jelf_2_128kb.mp3
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/times_jelf_3_128kb.mp3
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/times_jelf_4_128kb.mp3

In Act 4, that line when Jelf is off-duty and talks to himself when he doesn't think anyone is listening... he lapses into "dead-common" slang. Is his posh accent supposed to briefly drop at this point? I gave the line in two options, one still posh, one "as common as muck".

Cheers,
Chris

When he drops his accent, will a listener still be able to know that it is him speaking? Guess I can decide when I edit if you can't decide now....

thank you Adrian, perfect additions and PL ok now. P.E-B is done and dusted.

Now I need breakfast before I tackle Jelf...Chris seems to take pleasure in haunting me with butlering for me...I hope at least this time Jelf is male...

Well, of course Jelf is male. No way his French maid’s outfit could possibly hide that.

*groan* I blame Sir Percy for hiring a drag-queen as butler :| (we shall have a talk about that, my dear)

Jelf should never be off duty  excellent job, Chris. I suspect Jelf's upper class accent will exceed Mrs E-B's continental European mix.

Acts 1 and 4 are straight PL ok.

Found a few notes to scribble up for the other acts though:

Act 2:
> at about 0:01: (p. 57) two missed lines: "The bell rang, ma'am." and "Yes, ma'am."

Act 3:
> at 0:02: (p. 112) "the ladies are dining, m'lord." – you say "waiting"

Thank you, a great character (despite the parlourmaid's costume  luckily this is audio only)

so this is my recording weekend and I started with Clara E-B. Quite a moving role, I notice that she veers between upcomming hysterics when she is more alone, but once her hubby loses it, she seems to get a grip and try to calm him down. An interesting character. Fun to do.

Act 1 ready for scrutiny:

Act 2 for Clara reaches a sort of catastrophe. Trying to rein in the hysterics, as she needs to calm an even more hysterical husband

and the third act...still going downhill

Recording time: 10:54 min.

I don't think I can finish the final act tonight, but I'm already pretty happy with how far I got this weekend. :9:
