thank you, Tomas, now perfectly PL ok....
and on to Uther...

yes this time you were over 90 dB. so you must have done it right. It's important to insert the number by which to increase in the upper box (called "amplification db") and do nothing with the lower box. Maybe that's what you did wrong before.JBerkhouse wrote: ↑October 16th, 2020, 1:43 pmHere is Act 3 for Uter Pendragon with the line I missed. I also tried increasing the volume more, so let me know how it sounds. I am using the amplify function on Audacity, but I suppose I might be using it incorrectly. Hopefully it is better this time.
All three acts are now PL ok. Thank you for finishing up the entire role, even though you were so busy right now. We appreciate. I hope the stressful time will be over soon and you'll have more recording time again so we can hear you again in other plays.
Only one note to remember for future plays please leave much more space between separate quotes. Sometime you barely have 1 second. 2 to 3 seconds (or even more) would be much easier for our editor to fiddle with. He has to do a cut and paste job of all the different quotes, so it is enormously helpful for him if the spaces are large enough to see well where one quote ends and the next starts.
No need to change this time, it's just as a note for future plays. Thanks
Sonia

May I be Anselm? I guess that would be sections 17-20. Jim

awwww Anselme is so well portrayed, Jim. It's really peaceful to listen to his serene voice. And then suddenly there's this outburst against the idolaters, more forceful, an excellent contrast. I loved it !neecheelok70 wrote: ↑November 24th, 2020, 11:02 am https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/birthofmerlin_anselm_1_128kb.mp3

Thanks much, Sonia. By the way, I have re-submitted the Purgatory file in correct form.
