Gertrude Landa or rather, Hannah Gittel (Annie Gertrude) Landa nee Gordon wrote under the pen-name of Aunt Naomi. The stories that she relates in this book are mostly based on parables from the Talmud and the Midrash, those compilations of ancient teachings, interpretations and learning which in importance are second only to the Bible (Old Testament) in Jewish religious tradition. ( Noel Badrian)
Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard
IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated). Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

You'll need to select the MC, which for this project is: linny
When your upload is complete, you will receive a link - please post it in this thread.
However if neither of these sources are of any use, there is an American edition also to be found in the Internet Archive with a publication date of 1915 but again this is not actually printed in the book but there is also a Library of Congress volume available of the same edition also marked 1915
I would prefer to read from the First UK (1908) edition but quite prepared to use the (1915) American edition if that is necessary.
Unfortunately, the Hathi Trust version of Fairy Tales and Fables has a handwritten copyright instead of a printed date. While it originally may have been published prior to Legends we need to know that the copy you are reading from is PD.
Do you have a link to the Library of Congress volume?

More MCs seem to be behind an ok than not so lets go for it. Give me a few minutes and I'll be back with your MW.
All done. Have fun and let me know if you have any questions along the way.
Hi There,
Thank you so much for all the extra work you had to put in for this little book.

Noel,
No trouble at all. I'm very glad to see this one get into the catalog.
Once you confirm you can get into the MW I'll move you and Lynda over to going solo.
Hi.
Thanks! No problems with the MW.
I must have miscounted my chapters though and had to add another section, perhaps you will just check it is OK.
