Hello,
I am interested in reading "Boyislav, Youngest of Twelve" from "Myths and Folk-tales of the Russians, Western Slavs, and Magyars" by Jeremiah Curtin.
The download page can be found here: https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/50011
I would read the text from this chapter: https://www.gutenberg.org/files/50011/50011-h/50011-h.htm#chap20
This will be my first recording for LibriVox. I submitted a 1-minute test to viewtopic.php?f=21&t=83904&p=1813719 that needs to be reviewed. I would like my display name to be "Bryan Redd". I do not have a website I would like to link to. Please let me know if I missed a step.
Because I am just reading a portion of the work, would the preamble be "Boyislav, Youngest of Twelve from Myths and Folk-tales of the Russians, Western Slavs, and Magyars, by Jeremiah Curtin. This is a Librivox recording....please visit Librivox.org. Boyislav, Youngest of Twelve. [Begin reading]"?
Thank you!

If there is still room in this collection, I would like to read "Legend of the Calle de la Quemada" from Legends of the City of Mexico; written by Thomas Allibone Janvier. Link is here: https://archive.org/details/cu31924021258151/page/n13/mode/2up
How would you feel about some Uncle Remus? Written in dialect, so it won't be perfect, but I did grow up in the South and it seems like good one to include if well known enough?
Also are Grimm Fairy tales too pedantic for the collection?

Hello, Bryan! Welcome to LibriVox!! I'm so sorry that you've waited this long for my response - I was away from LV for holiday "stuff".ae6nr wrote: ↑November 27th, 2020, 1:44 pm Hello,

This will be a wonderful addition, and thank you very much for including all the links and information that you did.
For the intro, what you have proposed will work nicely.
And here is your personal Catalog Page: Bryan Redd. It will list all the projects that you are a part of, both complete and in-progress. Also, it has links to all the recording and/or PL sections that are assigned to you. Very handy
Nice to have you on board!

Hi, Jodes!
Uncle Remus and Grimm Brothers both work for this collection. We do have to use verifiable Public Domain sources, though. If you already know where you'll be reading the tales from, you can reply with the links and we can let you know if the sources work or not.
Thanks so much!
