I thought it might be! PL OK!
Thanks! I could change the inflection on that phrase so that it sounds less like a mistake to listeners, but I'll leave that up to you as to whether it would be necessary.
Not necessary, I feel.

28 minutes 49 seconds
Hi. Just to let you know in advance, your recording needs to be re-uploaded with a constant bit rate of 128 kbps. Also, your volume is really quite low. It will need to come up some 14 dB or so.

I'll check the content very soon.
You read nicely, but this recording seems to have many problems which editing will correct. There are repeats at, for instance, 1:59, 3:08, 3:28, 4:27, 5:16, 7:45, and 7:49. This is where I stopped listening.

I suspect you uploaded an unedited file and I ask that you make any necessary corrections to the whole recording---including correcting the bit rate and volume---and I will look forward with pleasure to the new file.

Hi Shreya,

Here's the link to my recording of Section 23. The running time is 25:43.

One of the edits is just a touch jarring. I'm still getting used to using the software. If you need me to do it again, I gladly will. I'll also claim another Section as and when I get the all-clear for this one....(crosses fingers!)

All the best,

Howard

HI Howard,

I'm sure you've done a great job and that there will be no need for a redo but Kevin is better equipped to tell you about that. :D I'll be waiting for you to claim another section soon :D

Hello again, Shreya.

I'd like to claim Section 41, please. Obviously if there are any problems with the Section 23 recording I'll rectify those first.

Many thanks,

Howard

Hi Kevin,

Many thanks for that. I think I know what the cause of the brief period of background hum was. The laptop was getting hot! However, as long as you're sure that it's not a problem then it's fine with me. I'll make sure it doesn't happen again.

All the best,

Howard

I could make one small 'editorial' comment, but that's not my place. Let me know if you want feedback.

Please do. It was my first attempt. More than grateful for any feedback.

All very well done. I just wonder if some of your pauses are a touch too long. I try not to have anything longer than 1.5 seconds within a paragraph or dialogue, but these things are up to the reader to decide.

I'll just say that a two-second silence can seem like forever to some.

I did wonder about that. It's good to now have that 1.5 second 'limit' in mind!

Thanks very much.
