Excellent, Diane! Thanks! Yes, she only has a few lines or half lines per chapter, but they're important lines. (Sometimes they're paraphrases, so check out the color-coded chapter scripts -- currently found in sections 6-37). She has a little more to say in the sequel, but not too terribly much. Much more is said about her than she actually says herself.

I'm not sure if chapters nine and eleven are the newly re-recorded versions, but let me know if not!
-Diego Tablett
Unfortunately, you didn't upload the newly re-recorded version of Chapter 9. Could you please do that?
Chapter 11 is the new version and is PL OK!
Thanks!
(Note: Dan, Felix, & Story Girl have been edited in to the chapter 11 file. Group line 3:17 also edited. Only need Aunt Janet, then ready for PL).

Very good. I can probably get these to you this week. I don’t mean to be daft, but how do I find the color- coded script?
Diane
lol! No worries, I had the same problem finding the scripts in my first dramatic reading. Scroll down in the Magic Window on Page 1 to the Chapter Sections (currently in Sections 6-37, but they could move). Then in the third column (the "Notes" column), please click the link that says "Chapter 1". That will send you to the script for Chapter 1 on my Google Drive. You can read it online or download it from there. "Chapter 6" is currently in Section 11, and so forth.Dtcastid wrote: ↑November 22nd, 2020, 8:43 amHi TJ,benderca wrote: ↑November 21st, 2020, 3:25 pmExcellent, Diane! Thanks! Dan, Chapters 14, 15, 19, 20, 22, 23, 24, 28, 30, & 31 are all PL OK!
I have one note for Chapter 18:
0:04
"I wonder if they'll bring us anything," said Dan. (I hear "any" instead of "anything").
I have one addition in Chapter 25:
0:06
Dan promptly declared he wouldn't try to preach a sermon.
(Could you please record "wouldn't try to preach a sermon"? It would sound better in Dan's voice -- I've updated the script, p. 4).
I also have a few notes for Chapter 26:
0:09
Could you please pronounce the word "quarrel" like this:
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/quarrel (the first pronunciation)
"I won't stand it. I don't quarrel with my sister any oftener than she quarrels with me. You can just leave me alone."
0:22
"Bev didn't get up there and pitch into us like that," (I hear "here" instead of "there")
And could you also please add a laugh at the very end of your recording?
Chapter 27
0:24
Could you please add "a tell-tale and a baby,"
Dan called her a tell-tale and a baby, (p. 6 in the script)
Chapter 29:
0:08 Could i please get you to cry a little? (On page 3 where it says: We all, even Dan, cried, except the Story Girl.)
Great acting, Diego!
Thanks!

Hi TJ,
I've gone through the script and have a couple of questions, though I think I probably know the answers.
1. There are 3 chapters (11, 24, 32) which refers to Aunt Janet and phrases are highlighted, but not in quotes. Should I read them as if they are quotes?
Here they are:
Ch 11: Aunt Janet was very desirous that everything should be as nice as possible, and we
were all sent to our rooms before tea to wash and dress up.
Ch 24: We wanted to stay with her also, but Aunt Janet wouldn't hear of such a thing. She ordered us
off to bed, saying that it was positively sinful in us to be so worked up over a cat.
Ch 32: When ten o'clock struck Aunt Janet came into the kitchen, remarking innocently that it hadn't seemed anytime since nine.
2. Laughter is noted in Chapters 19, 23, & 25, so shall I record laughing?
I'm supposing the answer is yes to both of these questions, but I just wanted to double check with you.

Yes & Yes! I want to make the dramatic reading as lively aa possible, so any time I can get the characters to speak for themselves, I do it. I can’t change the text, so I just cut out snippets. I picture it as a documentary film where we flash back from my narration and see a little of the scene as it played out at the time. I also like to add laughing and crying and other emotional sound effects to enhance the drama.
Thanks,
TJ

Aunt Janet, Chapters 6, 11, 12, 18-20, 23-25, 27 are all PL OK!
One note about intonation in Chapter 32. At 2:12: "any one" should be read together as "anyone":
"I notice that you are as fond as any one of what is baked in them," (It's a little confusing when the words are read separately).
Thanks! You're a great contribution to our cast.

Thanks for the kudos. I can go back and correct Chapter 32, if you'd like. It wouldn't take much.
Diane
If you don't mind, that would be easiest. I could probably cut out the space, but the intonation wouldn't be right. You could just redo that part of the sentence, if you like.Dtcastid wrote: ↑December 2nd, 2020, 3:49 pmHi TJ,benderca wrote: ↑November 30th, 2020, 6:47 pmGreat reading, Diane!Dtcastid wrote: ↑November 24th, 2020, 10:43 am And here are the last 4 chapters of Aunt Janet.
