I present to you one of your suggestions, which is indeed a horror story.
The Devil's Wager by William Makepeace Thackery.

Thank you for the opportunity.
Thank you so much Grant! those pesky devils...
Just one PL note - a cough to edit out at around 15:32 - skip back to 15:28ish for the start of the sentence.

Thanks!

Hi Rapunzelina,
I have an addition to the ghost horror story collection.
The title is: A Pair of Hands--An Old Maid's Ghost Story; author is: Arthur Quiller-Couch.
Here is the link to the text: http://www.gutenberg.org/cache/epub/13799/pg13799.html
Here is the recording link: https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/ghohor046_apairofhands_quillercouch_dc_128kb.mp3, which runs at 36:3.

As you can see, I took one of the suggested readings and shortened the upload link name to just the first part of the title.
Thanks much,
Diane

Hello Rapunzelina! Here is my submission for this horror collection:
https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/ghohor046_madwoman_guydemaupassant_dk_128kb.mp3
The Mad Woman, by Guy de Maupassant
https://archive.org/stream/completeshortsto1903maup#page/272/mode/2up
The length of my recording is 10:43
This is not my first recording but would it be possible to add a link to devinkemp.com?
Thank you so much! I really enjoy these ghost and horror collections!

Thank you for your contribution to the collection, Devin!

I was marvelling at your webpage and your operatic recordings there! I noticed you also linked to your Librivox page. But the link you posted leads to the open projects and not the complete list. I don't know if that was your intention.

Here's the link to your Reader Page - with the complete list of the projects you read for: https://librivox.org/reader/15018 where you can now see the addition of your URL!
(and this is the link posted on your webpage https://librivox.org/sections/readers/15018 which leads to a list of the still open projects. This list helps you keep track of the status of your sections)

Ah thank you for catching that Rapunzelina! That was not the intention. I have edited my webpage.
Thank you so much for adding my URL :D

Hello, again Rapunzelina! I got inspired by Guy de Maupassant and had to record another of his. Such stoic and interesting writings. So, here is another submission for this horror collection:
https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/ghohor046_he_maupassant_dk_128kb.mp3
He?, by Guy de Maupassant
https://archive.org/stream/completeshortsto1903maup#page/816/mode/2up
The length of my recording is 24:25
I hope submitting two back-to-back is ok :D :D
