You read nicely, but this recording seems to have many problems which editing will correct. There are repeats at, for instance, 1:59, 3:08, 3:28, 4:27, 5:16, 7:45, and 7:49. This is where I stopped listening.KevinS wrote: ↑November 17th, 2020, 5:03 pmHi. Just to let you know in advance, your recording needs to be re-uploaded with a constant bit rate of 128 kbps. Also, your volume is really quite low. It will need to come up some 14 dB or so.Dunni23 wrote: ↑October 9th, 2020, 12:27 pm section 5, chapter 2, part 1...

28 minutes 49 seconds
I'll check the content very soon.
I suspect you uploaded an unedited file and I ask that you make any necessary corrections to the whole recording---including correcting the bit rate and volume---and I will look forward with pleasure to the new file.

Hi Shreya,
Here's the link to my recording of Section 23. The running time is 25:43.

One of the edits is just a touch jarring. I'm still getting used to using the software. If you need me to do it again, I gladly will. I'll also claim another Section as and when I get the all-clear for this one....(crosses fingers!)
All the best,
Howard

HI Howard,
I'm sure you've done a great job and that there will be no need for a redo but Kevin is better equipped to tell you about that. I'll be waiting for you to claim another section soon

Many thanks for that. I think I know what the cause of the brief period of background hum was. The laptop was getting hot! However, as long as you're sure that it's not a problem then it's fine with me. I'll make sure it doesn't happen again.
All the best,
Howard
I could make one small 'editorial' comment, but that's not my place. Let me know if you want feedback.Howard76 wrote: ↑November 25th, 2020, 3:27 pm Hi Kevin,

Please do. It was my first attempt. More than grateful for any feedback.KevinS wrote: ↑November 25th, 2020, 3:46 pmI could make one small 'editorial' comment, but that's not my place. Let me know if you want feedback.Howard76 wrote: ↑November 25th, 2020, 3:27 pm Hi Kevin,

All very well done. I just wonder if some of your pauses are a touch too long. I try not to have anything longer than 1.5 seconds within a paragraph or dialogue, but these things are up to the reader to decide.
I'll just say that a two-second silence can seem like forever to some.

I did wonder about that. It's good to now have that 1.5 second 'limit' in mind!KevinS wrote: ↑November 25th, 2020, 4:17 pmAll very well done.
