Chapter 1 is PL OK, and beautiful! That was me, as a child, before I rededicated my life to the Lord...

Hi, Lilly,

Chapter 13 is PL OK. You're right--that was sad--but beautiful! Such a victory for the whole family in this part.

Hi, Lily,

Beautiful chapter! A few PL notes on Chapter 8:

0:00: The word "chapter" is a bit cut off--right at the very beginning. It's still understandable, so it's your choice whether to fix it.

0:17: Please say "Chapter 8", between the phrases "recording by Lily" and the chapter title, "For Jesus' Sake".

0:42--0:44: Background noise that obscures your voice somewhat, in the phrase "the only possible way to get at it".

Other than that, this looks good! So far, you've been choosing the saddest yet most beautiful chapters.

In His Peace,

Hi, I don't know how to get rid of the background noise. I just started using Audacity. There is away, but I don't know how much to reduce it to.

Hi Lilly, I don't use Audacity myself, but there are many LV volunteers who do. Here are a couple pages from the LV wiki with directions for noise cleaning on Audacity.

There's also a video on noise removal in Audacity here: https://youtu.be/rvhqw7zBmEo

Let us know if you have questions after watching these. I'd look for a bit where you dont say anything and can hear the background noise. Use that as your noise "profile" and then either apply it to the entire recording, or to the parts where you can hear the noise.

Hi, Lily,

Thank you so much for working on this! I hope to PL tomorrow morning--today's been, shall I say, a Helen-Lester day--the way she felt right at the beginning of the book. However, I trust that God will give me such victory in Him, joy will come in the morning, and I will be well-equipped to re-listen at that time.

In Him,

Bethesda-Lily
