yes definitely ! For one single sentence there is no need to re-record it all. For long sections, editing is always the better option and less time consuming.
so this time you only spot corrected, right ?
PL ok then
wohooo, your first PL ok section
excellent, thank you again. Also here I have a few small notes to edit for you, not as many as the first time, you are definitely starting to get the hand of it.
Only the following three bits need to get added:
>
at about 0:47: missed line: "
Luis, aside"
>
at 1:50: "and finds
beneath it a skeleton" – you say "finds
it beneath" – which is a change of meaning
>
at 3:23: "
Luis, aside" – you need to include the name here
only the first act left to do.
yes it was good you kept that one for last, because the first act is always a bit trickier because of the cast list. So it's good you got a bit of practice with the two other acts already.
First a question for Todd: do you want the
long introduction text included as well ? What about the
dedication to Aubrey de Vere ?
Now for the castlist: please start with "
Persons", then record all the characters including the entire character description, in the order in which they are listed in the text. Read them like this:
"Egerius, King of Ireland, read by" (no need to add a name, it will be done by the reader)
"Patrick, read by"
[and so on through the entire list]
careful when "groups of people" are mentioned in the list, you see here for example "two peasants", "attendants", "friars" etc Each of them need their own voice credit, so read them separately. For that it's best to check the Magic Window, where Todd has listed all the characters. Here you will see:
"
First Canon, read by"
"
Second Canon, read by"
You'll also see that the attendants and peasants are not mentioned that means they have no speaking roles and therefore you need not include them in your list.
At the end of the cast list, also include your own voice credit like this: "
Stage directions, read by Tchaikovsky"
And also don't forget the scene setting: "
The Scene passes in Ireland, in the Court of King Egerius, and other parts."
That's the special rules for the cast list. After that, it's like any other act, just read everything you can find for the narrator to read.
