Here is the further corrected Chapter 09. I re-recorded "his grandfather came", so there should be no noise there now.

Hi, dakotan06! Welcome to LibriVox! :)

That would be great! Thank you! I'll sign you up.

Before you do any recording for LibriVox, you'll need to get a 1-Minute Test OK'ed. (Here are the instructions: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test ) When your test is ready, you'll post the link to it in the Listeners & Editors Wanted forum. If you have any questions, let me know!

Also, what would you like your catalog name to be? That's the part where you say, "Recording by..." It can be your real name, your forum name, or something different. Just know that it can't be changed because that's what gets read into the audio files. Also, if you'd like a link to a personal website or blog to be included on your catalog page, just let me know.

PL notes for Chapter 21:

Your recording should use a constant bit rate rather than variable bit rate. Also the bit rate needs to be 128 kbps. To fix both of these problems, when you are ready to export:

To fix this, open your original recording in Audacity (if you have not yet downloaded Audacity, here's the link -- it's a free, easy-to-use audio editor), and then:

- Click File > Export Audio...
- Next to Bit Rate Mode, select Constant
- Next to Quality, select 128 kbps from the drop-down list

Also, you need to add "saunders" to the file name so it reads as follows: bonnieprincefetlar_21_saunders_128kb

Great reading!

PL notes for Chapter 26:

@ 13:56 Misread word & repeat: "She stood with head drooped like a woman who has come to the end of a long, long road and is satisfied."

@ 10:51 Repeat: "Mr. Duff leaned against the old lichen-covered boulder and laying one hand on it said..."

Your level of background noise is also a little bit high. To fix this, open your original recording in Audacity (if you have not yet downloaded Audacity, here's the link -- it's a free, easy-to-use audio editor), and then:

- Click and drag to highlight an area of silence in your track (-- the bigger the area, the better)
- Click Effect > Noise Reduction...
- Click Get Noise Profile
- Now click anywhere inside the track
- Hit Ctrl + A to highlight the entire track
- Again, click Effect > Noise Reduction...
- Next to Noise reduction (dB), type in 3 or so
- Next to Sensitivity, type in 6 or so
- Next to Frequency smoothing bands, type in 3 or so
- Next to Noise, select Reduce
- Click OK

When that's done, export your file, upload it to LibriVox, and post the link here! :)
