I understand that. You definitely don't want me to sing!
Cheers, Ava.

Here are the stage directions:

This was more challenging than I thought because it wasn't always clear what to include. When in doubt I read it. And, I'm not sure I got the cast list correct, but it is all there, I think. And, I said "bookfeller" only once, I think.

On the road again, so delays are possible

"bookfeller" would have been cool too. So far I haven't heard any embarrassing s/f switches but I'm on the lookout for them.silverquill wrote: ↑November 10th, 2020, 10:28 amHere are the stage directions:

Super stage-directions again, Larry, thank you so much, especially for handing them in so early. It was quite a mess to rummage through the script and find them all. I did find a few missing ones still:
PL notes for Act 1:
> at about 4:09: there are some added roles in the 3rd act and epilogue, you can check the MW which roles you missed. If I found them all it's: Manager / Mr. Seedo, Musician / Director / 2nd Sailor / Messenger / Sir John / 1st Poet / 2nd Poet / 3rd Poet / 4th Poet / Cat
> at 5:03: (p. 13) "Mrs Moneywood, within" – you only say "Money" but I think it's best always say the full name of the character
PL notes for Act 2:
> at about 1:44: (p. 34) missed: "Scene IX: Witmore, with a paper, meeting Luckless"
> at about 2:01: (p. 37) missed: "Scene XII: Moneywood, Harriot, Jack"
PL notes for Act 3:
> at 0:35: (p. 39) missed: "Air I. Whilst the town's brimfull of folly"
> at about 1:25: (p. 44) missed: "Enter Don Tragedio, Sir Farcical Comick, Dr. Orator, Signior Opera, Monsieur Pantomime and Mrs Novel."
> at 4:54: (p. 63) "Sir John, aside" or "Constable, aside" – not really sure who says this as aside, either Sir John's entire speech or the beginning of Constable's speech up to the dash (I am opting for that one). In any case it should be at the beginning of the speech, and therefore the name needs to be included. You could maybe record both versions, then Todd can decide who says the aside
> at about 5:56: (second page of epilogue) missed: "Enter the Author" and "Enter Cat"
thank you

Thank you.

thank you, Alan. And awww, this guy is a sleazy trickster. Trying to promote himself by using his son to discredit the really talented authors. Not a nice guy. But excellently portrayedalanmapstone wrote: ↑November 16th, 2020, 4:02 amMarplay senior act 2

I have two small notes for your consideration:
> at 0:40: (p. 23) "no matter where, so we are blessed together" – you say "for" which has a slightly different meaning here. Especially because in the next line you definitely use the word "so" for the same sentence in Marplay's edited version
> at 3:49: (p. 25) "tis buff, child, 'tis buff" – you say "buss". I wouldn't really know what is meant here, but I think this is the letter 'f', the long s has a much shorter horizontal dash and double s is usually written with one long s and one normal s. I guess the meaning is "buffed, shiny", which would match with the next line of "corinthian brass".

I could not decide between buff and buss as neither makes much sense in context. So I thought I would try buss and see what the consensus was. I will change it but I just hope Todd doesn't ask for it to be changed back againKitty wrote: ↑November 16th, 2020, 6:52 am> at 3:49: (p. 25) "tis buff, child, 'tis buff" – you say "buss". Try as I might, I fail to picture any situation during which I would ever tell Kitty that she was wrong!
At least until my part in the play was PL OK....
Thanks, Todd

could you reupload Act 1 once more, there must have been an error in the upload as the file is now only 7:38 long :hmm:

Thank you, Sonia.

Here's the 2nd Poet:
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/authorsfarce_2ndpoet_3_128kb.mp3 45 seconds
May I also read the 2nd Sailor? The 2nd Poet only appears in the epilogue, so these two characters certainly don't talk to each other.
