Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard
IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated). Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Only if applicable, say: "[Chapter title]"

There should be ~5 seconds silence at the end of the recording.
Example filename lightprincess3_##_macdonald_128kb.mp3 (all lower-case) where ## is the section number (e.g. lightprincess3_01_macdonald_128kb.mp3)
Transfer of files (completed recordings) Please always post in this forum thread when you've sent a file. Also, post the length of the recording (file duration: mm:ss) together with the link.
Upload your file with the LibriVox Uploader: https://librivox.org/login/uploader
(If you have trouble reading the image above, please message an admin)
You'll need to select the MC, which for this project is: annise
When your upload is complete, you will receive a link - please post it in this thread.
I'll MC this for you - back soon.
Please don't upload until I'm back with instructions for you and then please just add the first file so the PLer can check the intro and outro.
It will be version 3 in the catalogue.
Now that you are a soloist, you will be your own BC (book coordinator). That means that you will enter the links to your recordings into the Magic Window (MW) (the scrolling window in the first post). Here is a document that explains how to get into the MW the first time: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BxWB83bbALTQYjlENGZ0SVJUWWs
You left out the number of sections and I didn't notice.
I added 4 for you and put the title in them to show what is required - adding the sections does mean you can add the titles as you go - I allowed 15 which is what the other versions had
So I tried accessing the Magic Window following the instructions you gave me, but the page I got directed to after logging in the last time says that I don't have permission for this area. Do you know how I can fix this?
Sincerely,
Simone

There is a steep learning curve for this

That means that you will enter the links to your recordings into the Magic Window (MW) (the scrolling window in the first post). Here is a document that explains how to get into the MW the first time: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BxWB83bbALTQYjlENGZ0SVJUWWs

Grteat you have finished but.............Where are the links? You do need to post them and add them to the MW before they can be catalogued or PLed . Others no one knows about them.
Thanks for stepping in , but this project has a Dedicated Proof Listener - there are a couple of ways you can tell - I know it's all a bit confusing at first. If you look in the Magic Window (the database nterface in the first post, you can see fiddlesticks name there , and also the heading of the project shows a tilde ~ before it if PLing is needed - which should be removed when it isn't but we are not always perfect.
Welcome to LV - I joined as a proof listener many years ago and I'm still here. It's always a good idea to post in the thread first - though I can understand you wanting to do it immediately and it can take some time for people to be online, especially on an international site.
