ah I see you haven't checked the book yet ;) the last two books in the series were not done by Eva March Tappan anymore (reasons unknown) It's a different style. While 15 at least still presents texts from or about the historical time, Book 14 is strictly a chronological timeline throughout the world history.

Style:

480 B.C. - Battle of Thermopylae - Persians crush the Spartan army

and so on. Not really "texts", more lists. So much less fun maybe to read and listen to. Now I could leave the book out of the series of course, but I am inclined to give it a go, fully hoping that you all support me with a section or two :help: I hope it will work out well. It would be cool to have finished all 15 books.

And you know when we started ? 21st November 2017, so basically exactly 3 years ago I launched the first book. I never dared hope that we could be at Book 13 only three years later. Thanks to the enormous enthusiasm and support of you all we managed EVERY year to finish 4 projects !!! Maybe even 5 this year if the final sections come in the next few weeks. :9:

So I cannot really give up now  But I know it's a risky business with Book 14. Time will tell.

I'd skip Book 14 - it looks really tough to enjoy reading and PL'ing. Not that 15 will be a bed of roses either.

Thanks, Todd

Oof. Well, I'm the sort of person who gets excited when a new Insomnia Collection gets posted, so I'm in!

I agree with Todd. These volumes have been popular because the articles and poems in them have been interesting and enjoyable to read. Reading book 14 would just be a chore. Imagine checking all those dates and numbers when editing and PLing. Sorry :help:

I'll certainly pick up at least one section in 14 if you do it, just to say that I'd participated in all of them. I don't doubt it will move more slowly than the other volumes have done, but we'll get there eventually.

interesting points-of-views...the men want to skip, the women prevail  Well, I'm a woman too. I tend to do them all, just so we're complete. As for checking numbers, I don't mind that much and that task will fall to me.

And for the record: no one is forced to participate. I was hoping at least one section would be done by the "regulars", but I won't expect it from any of you. And you are right...it will probably get finished at one point. There have been worse projects than that.

Actually, I personally don't dislike lists that much. There is enough text to not make it a tedious list.

Oh and another deadline has run out, without news from the reader :( hope all is well with her.

Sections 43, 60, 66 , 75, 84 and 95 are again up for grabs. Lots of small sections apart from 43.

Back to readers wanted.
