My third section is up and Ready for PL

I wavered about singing or just reading. The singing is not my strong suit as you can hear. If you think it better to have the carols just spoken, I did that as well for a backup.

One small note, the final silence is just a hair long, I make 2-3 seconds over the desired 5. Not sure if this matters or not, but I'll put it as "See Notes" in window for now.silverquill wrote: ↑October 31st, 2020, 7:57 am My third section is up and Ready for PL

Otherwise perfect, and I am glad you sang the carols, they sounded just fine! Good for you for being brave enough to sing, I couldn't have pulled it off!

Time: 13:29
Two notes: from about 04:58 to about 05:09, there's a weird echo or hollow sound, maybe microphone feedback of some kind. It's only one or two sentences, it's not too distracting if you don't feel like re-recording that little section, I'll leave it up to you.
Also, the volume is a little low at 85.9 according to Checker. If you raise it 1-2 decibels it will inside the required range.

Thanks for the note on the singing. I sing best in a group though.ColleenMc wrote: ↑November 1st, 2020, 11:59 amOne small note, the final silence is just a hair long, I make 2-3 seconds over the desired 5. Anyway, I double checked my closing silence, and I still see it as exactly 5 seconds.
Thanks for listening!

Thank you for this feedback. Here's the edited version with new recording at 4:58 and amplified sound. I appreciate the feedback. Let me know if there's anything else.ColleenMc wrote: ↑November 1st, 2020, 12:19 pmVery well read!HLinnae wrote: ↑October 29th, 2020, 8:38 am Here is the recording link for #4, Grandmother:

I would be glad to have you read this section.
We do, however, request that new readers complete a short preliminary recording to check out the technical specifications and identify any other areas that might need attention. I strongly suggest that you read through the Newbie Guide to Recording. You will find the link under point 2 of the head post for this project. Instructions for completing and posting this recording are in Point 2 of the Guide. Once you have completed that and have an "OK" report, please post back here and let me know how you would like to be listed in the LibriVox catalog - real name, pseudonym or any nickname you wish. Also be sure to read all of the instructions in the head post for this project.
Thank you for your interest.
