[COMPLETE] The Great Events by Famous Historians, Volume 5 - icequeen
I'm working on editing recordings of section 5 and 6 currently, and just noticed that the title in the MW is incorrect -- it's Alfred the Great, not Albert.
Alfred aside: In my world history 101 college class, I learned about Alfred for the first time, and for whatever reason, as the professor introduced Alfred's big comeback against the Danes, he said in a sort of sing-songy way, "Sooooo from out of the swamps Alfred came..." and I've never not thought of this since, when I hear Alfred mentioned! ("Soooo from out of the swamps, Alfred came,") has been been rolling around my brain on repeat since I started working on these sections!

OMG I am such a dork! Thank you for catching that for me. If I remember correctly, at that time, I was looking at something for Albert the Great. So, of course, my brain made Alfred into Albert and went along its merry way! Thank you!ColleenMc wrote: ↑October 23rd, 2020, 1:45 pm I'm working on editing recordings of section 5 and 6 currently, and just noticed that the title in the MW is incorrect -- it's Alfred the Great, not Albert.

Can I take section 26? If but only for selfish reasons to hasten volume 6.

I know what you mean about hastening volume 6! This one has taken longer than the others, but will get them done! Section 26 is yours, thank you!
Moving on to Readers Found!
