[COMPLETE] Flowers of Freethought (Second Series) by G.W. Foote - availle
Thanks Alan!
Tom, I'm bowing out of the French this time, that's too much for me (it's been 20+ years...) but Ana seems to have you covered!
If you don't feel comfortable with reading/reproducing the sounds, you can always return the section back to the pool and read something "easier". While I personally appreciate the learning effect of librivoxing, it's still supposed to be fun all around...

Bonjour! Here is the link to Section 4 (Paul Bert): https://librivox.org/uploads/availle/flowersfreethought2_04_foote_128kb.mp3
I read the * as "footnote" - please let me know if that needs to be removed, or if any other changes need to be made.

Might I impose upon your French skills yet once again? I offered to read Section 01 and find therein this:
Vive Jesus, de qui l'amour Me va consumant unit et jour.
Vive Jesus, vive sa force, Vive son agreable amore.
Vive Jesus, quand il m'enivre D'un douceur qui me fait vivre.
Vive Jesus, lorsque sa bouche D'un baiser amoureux me touche.
Vive Jesus, grand il m'appelle Ma soeur, ma colombe, ma belle.
Vive Jesus, quand sa bonte, Me reduit dans la nudite;
Vive Jesns, quand ses blandices Me comblent de chastes delices.
You know how I abused the language in my previous attempt at but a small phrase, should I relinquish the Section or do you think you could provide me with another lesson?
Tommy
Here's a normal speeking spead recording (there may be plosives, as this is not my usual recording environment, sorry in advance)
Let me know if it is useful! If you need anything else, also, let me know!

"Section [number] of Flowers of Freethought (Second Series). This is a LibriVox recording. All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. For more information, or to volunteer, please visit: librivox DOT org"
If you wish, say: "Recording by [your name], [city, your blog, podcast, web address]"
Say:
"Flowers of Freethought (Second Series), by George William Foote. Section [number and title]"
One note regarding the intro. There are two parts missing in your recording (the bolded parts).
Please, address it, and send it in again!
Cheers,
Ana

Yes, it would be good to remove "footnote" at 00:28, so your recording will match the others! Other than that, sounds great! Please cut it out, and send it in again!

Ana

Wow, I never got so many notifications for a single thread over night!
I think I've caught all of your responses and the MW is up to date. Thanks Ana for PLing and stepping in here!
Hi Lynette and welcome to LV and to this project!
I've given section 48 to you, but please wait for your test's [OK] to start recording "for real" in case there are any kinks that need to be ironed out first.
You got your very own reader page here where you can keep track of all your claims and finished recordings:
https://librivox.org/reader/15084
Ask if you have any questions, and I hope you'll have fun on here!

Section 2:
https://librivox.org/uploads/availle/flowersfreethought2_02_foote_128kb.mp3
15:18
Fun read, though could have done without the random antisemitic snark about Jewish pawnbrokers.
Note: there are two instances where the text from PG reads "Kabbi" when it should be "Rabbi", I read it as the latter.

And here is section 3:
https://librivox.org/uploads/availle/flowersfreethought2_03_foote_128kb.mp3

This one also had a word I needed to check on, "fishfag", which is actually the word intended, and is an archaic term for "fishwife".
