Could Phil set up a Zoom Sticky that announces the meeting times each week without anyone having to scroll through this forum, or Phil having to send out invitations or reminders? I cautioned Phil not to put the info in his signature as he did earlier, as that goes out all over LV and is readily available to visitors, and trolls, an increasing problem with zoom.

Great idea. Is there a way to set up a Zoom only category?

Yes, he could.

A whole sub-forum for Zoom threads? We won't be doing that.

Oh no, not a sub-forum, that would indeed be overkill! but a sticky is possible. Just haven't done it because I have never done a sticky.

But, I am busy creating a fabulous video for new people that walks 'em through the 7 steps to make a recording. A novel approach that takes just 7.5 minutes long (to see it) and it covers everything from microphones to claiming their first section. The links for the actual 'how to' videos are in the video description.

I am busy now having to make brand spanking new videos for outdated ones. For example the Downloading Audacity video still told them they had to download LAME. That is sad. The video is done but the linking videos are in the works. Would anyone be kind enough to watch it and tell me if anything is left out? https://youtu.be/SIgArxmaj6U

I would like to learn something about “Suggest a Staff Pick for archive.org”. Would anyone else be interested in telling about that in a zoom meeting?

Everyone is free to contribute a suggestion - there is no big secret and nothing else to explain :D

I would be interested in hearing from participants in this process, the history of it, etc. Is this the same thing as what shows up at the bottom of the home page? Is there a sticky on that, too? Librivox is in many ways a mystery, always something new to learn.
