Hi Peter,
"The Speckled Band" is recorded and edited; however, I have one line to re-do because there was a background noise I could not remove. I'll get to it this evening and have the file ready for you then. Nearly there!

Thanks, Tomas. I'll PL it later today. I'm off for a week's holiday shortly, so I won't be able to edit Watson into the file until late next week.

Thank you, Tomas. That's fine; very nearly word perfect.
Just one word to change, if you would.
9.35 The building was of grey, lichen-blotched stone. Read as "lichen blotted". (Just over half way through the text.)
There's one "said he" missed out, but there are plenty more that I can copy into the gap.
However, there were a few what I think of as clonks behind your voice. I'll list them, but if you're happy to leave them, so am I:
8.07 To me at least - CLONK
1530 Holmes, I cried. I seem to see dimly... CLONK at Holmes
1621 There was little difficulty in entering the grounds. CLONK at little difficulty
1631 ... and were about to enter through the window, when out. TWO CLONKS
1835 Far away we could hear the deep tones of the parish clock. CLONK at "parish clock"
1905 I heard a gentle sound of movement. Faint ClONK at gentle
I'll be back late next week.

Hi Peter,
Here are the correction (and glad to have you back from holidays): https://librivox.org/uploads/kathrinee/sherlockholmes_watson_08_corrections_128kb.mp3
I re-recorded the phrases that had clonks. If, however, they're distractingly dissimilar from the original recording, you can leave the clonks in. It'll be up to your discerning ear.

Sorry, linny, I was so caught up with finishing the project that I forgot this minor detail (!).
It's there now.

Chapter 8 is PL OK! Very nicely edited.
