With Trumpet and Drum by Eugene Field (1850 - 1895).

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/with-trumpet-and-drum-by-eugene-field/
The book is made up of poems compiled from the “Little Book of Western Verse,” the “Second Book of Verse,” and the files of the “Chicago Daily News,” the “Youth’s Companion,” and the “Ladies’ Home Journal” , including such favorites as The Sugar Plum Tree, Wynken, Blynken, and Nod, and Little Boy Blue, by the Poet of Childhood, Eugene Field. ( AnnaLisa Bodtker)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/62643
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

OK, I added the tilda. We'll stay here a couple of days to see if a DPL comes along before we move to going solo.

Please let me know if you have any difficulty opening the MW.

Thank you so much! I only have Saturdays to work on recording so I am slow on finishing books. I look forward to working with you.

Greetings Linny and Jenn!

Here are the first batch of poems:
https://librivox.org/uploads/linny/withtrumpetanddrum_00_field_128kb.mp3. 2:18.19
https://librivox.org/uploads/linny/withtrumpetanddrum_01_field_128kb.mp3. 2:12.23
https://librivox.org/uploads/linny/withtrumpetanddrum_02_field_128kb.mp3. 2:42.64
https://librivox.org/uploads/linny/withtrumpetanddrum_03_field_128kb.mp3. 2:15.18
https://librivox.org/uploads/linny/withtrumpetanddrum_04_field_128kb.mp3. 2:4.60
https://librivox.org/uploads/linny/withtrumpetanddrum_05_field_128kb.mp3. 2:52.23

Linny, there is an another link to poem 04 floating around. I didn't notice until after I uploaded the files that there was an extra underscore in the title. Sorry about that.

Thank you for all your assistance!

No problem at all. I'll delete it. BTW: We only need minutes and seconds.

Another lovely set! I especially liked your accent on a couple of the poems :9:

Sections 8, 10, and 11 are PL-OK!

The others are perfect except for a few filename issues I noticed.

Sections 6 and 7 Note:
-the files in the MW have 128KB instead of 128kb with lowercase letters

Section 9 Note:
-the filename in the MW has field-128kb using a dash instead of field_128kb using an underscore

O my goodness I am so embarrassed!

Here are the corrected links:
https://librivox.org/uploads/linny/withtrumpetanddrum_06_field_128kb.mp3
https://librivox.org/uploads/linny/withtrumpetanddrum_07_field_128kb.mp3
https://librivox.org/uploads/linny/withtrumpetanddrum_09_field_128kb.mp3

Linny I promise you I do know how to title the links correctly! Thank you Jenn!
