I'll sign you up.
It might not be necessary but it can't hurt to add that "Sally" Thompson is in fact a man. (Australians and their nicknames. ) But this collection's casting is gender-neutral, so anyone can play any part. (Just ask some of the old hands about my Parlourmaid sometime. ) Just thought I'd point that out in case it seemed he was a she. So now you can give us your best "blokey" voice.
Cheers,
Chris

Oh. Well that is okay, God granted me a deep voice for a girl. To be sure, I will try my best not to sound too feminine.
One question though, when reading the script for Sally has a #1 or #2 at the end of the sentence. Do we read the number also, or is it a direction?
Thanks,
Kathi

Kathi, you can ignore saying those #1, #2, etc marks, they are just there to make it easier for me to do the final assembly of all the voice parts.Kathimariewalsheck wrote: ↑September 27th, 2020, 4:38 am One question though, when reading the script for Sally has a #1 or #2 at the end of the sentence. You really should keep an eye on the plays that Todd launches. There is frequently a role therein for a femme fatale with a silky contralto.Kathimariewalsheck wrote: ↑September 27th, 2020, 4:38 am Oh. Well that is okay, God granted me a deep voice for a girl. Greetings from Germany.
Ah, the vagaries of English not to mention Celtic pronunciation. My own surname is Celtic Cornish and from an early age I learned to give spelling and pronunciation at the same time.
In this case, it sounds more like you're saying the Irish Maguire rather than the Scots Gaelic Macquarie.
If you wouldn't mind taking another try at it, here is a sound file I've recorded with the pronunciation of the word "Macquarie": https://librivox.org/uploads/mightyfelix/Macquarie_pronunciation.mp3
I did a new recording and reload it. The new length is 0:14.
I hope, now it sounds better.
Greetings from Germany.

Hi, I am so sorry, but please take my name off of the Sally Thompson claim. I tried, but even my husband said my voice sounds too feminine for the read, even if I do have a deep voice, stills sounds like a girl deep voice, not a boy deep voice.
So sorry.
Thanks for the opportunity.

Just checking in to let you know I haven't forgotten about this project -- just a few setbacks. Shouldn't be too much longer.

Now if you were a Methodist actor, you would only have been able to enjoy the juice of the grape in the Methodist Way ... ie, 'on the sly'.alanmapstone wrote: ↑October 1st, 2020, 3:35 am Awful Example

Absolutely splendid performance and PL-OK, Alan!
That must've seen off any door-to-door salesmen about to knock on the door that day.
