I really enjoyed making this, and hope that I can read more ebooks!
Welcome to Librivox, Leenaaaa!
Your recording sample has all tech specs correct, so you are in fact ready to record as much as you want!!
Do you have a favourite poet or a favourite poem? For this collection, you can choose to record any poem you'd like (up to three actually!) as long as it is in the public domain, which essentially means published before 1925. http://www.gutenberg.org/ is a fabulous source for public domain works!
This is my first recording. My name is Priyanka Mary Christine.
Welcome to the Poetry Collection, Priyanka! Congratulations for your first recording!! Thank you for offering it here
By the way, here's your newly created Reader Page: https://librivox.org/reader/15017 which you can also access from your name-link in the Magic Windows. It lists all projects you read for, so it might look empty now, but I hope you enjoy recording and gradually fill it up! It can also help you keep track of your sections in ongoing projects, under the "Reader Section Details" link.
Q. I tried to find out the date of this publication but struggled, would you be able to help, I'm recording from Liverpool so I don't want to break any copyright legislation? Your help would be very much appreciated.

Hello! I am a first-time reader! I'm really excited to start my journey and wanted to contribute a poem for this collection.
I would like to appear in the catalog as Devin Kemp.
Thank you so much!
Welcome to the Poetry Collection, Devin! Thank you for your recording! And congrats on beginning your Librivox journey! Would you call your voice a soprano?

Yes I am a soprano
Although I had professors in college tease me and refer to me as "the low voiced soprano"
Haha My speaking voice may be lower than most sopranos, but my high notes do not suffer because of it!
"It's dangerous to go alone, take this with you."

Seems good! Can you post this in the Listeners and Editors Wanted? Very good recording. Mark it OK, and start recording for other things! Just make sure that you add silence at the beginning of the recording next time.

Thank you, Shriya! I've also responded to Lena's test, so there's no need to post it elsewhere
Hello Susan! Your reading is gorgeous! I have some trouble with the volume though. It is very very low, and gradually it zeroes down. I would guess you accidentally used a "fade out" effect or something. Unfortunately it can't be restored by amplifying; it'll have to be recorded again. Or maybe you have kept the original raw recording with full volume?
One wording-related PL note: This poetry project uses a shorten form of the disclaimer (see first post for details). If you could also use that, for consistency, that'd be great! For your recording it would be:
"The Wants of Man by John Quincy Adams. Read for Librivox (dot) org, by your name (optional)" then the poem and end with
"End of poem. This recording is in the public domain." + 5 seconds of silence.
