It is interesting reading it at very roughly the same chronology as the expedition (ie over months, just like them...) it gives one a different perspective and that sense of waiting for the big moment is there when I read, for example I felt really quite excited when I read about the sledge motors climbing up the Barrier for the first time - here we go!! - I thought.
By the way I want if possible to ask a very small favour, I have madea test recording using a slightly different recording system and I want to check that it does not have that problem you mentioned a few weeks ago which came up on your bit of software quality checking. If I upload this new mp3 'test' in the normal way would you be able to give me a diagnosis as to whether it is OK or not? Thank you!

Here is a re-recording of Section 27, with a better revision passage at around 18.00, you'll remember I was not happy with the previous insert as the voice quality was quite different. This is not perfect, but a good deal better I think.

Thanks as always David, did you feel sad when they shot poor old Jehu after all that he had gone through for them? I did. Times have changed and I rather doubt you could go exploring nowadays using animals and then killing them when their usefulness was over!

I can't imagine anyone today funding such an expedition. Reminds me that I had better keep up with my chores.
