Larry has been out of town. I think he's back now, but I've added your file to the MW for him.
Thank you, Jo!

New to librivox. What's #14 "From the National Intelligencer" about? if interesting I'd like to read! Also where can I find the text please?
Thanks,
Hi!

All of the information you are looking for is in the initial post for each project.
Read through this carefully. Each project follows a set template, but the information will be different for each project. The link to the text is always under Point 4. (Special projects may have some additional links) So, follow that link to the Gutenberg file and find that article to see if you would like to record it. It is actually Section 13 for this project.

All the best!

Yes, thank you! Got back today, but just in time to sign on for my day job.
I'll get caught up soon, but may need to take some overtime. Busy days.

Attached is a re-do of section 9 (two corrections- sans the extra section read and with proper figure reading).

I would like to read Section 13 "From the National Intelligencer" if it is still available. I am new to Librivox, but not to voice work. I have posted my 1 minute test in the Listeners Wanted forum.

Yes, it is our last open sections, wo I would be glad to have you read it.

I've left some comments on your one-minute test, so please review those.
Than, let me know exactly how you would like to be listed in the LV catalog -- real name, pseudonym, or any nickname you wish. This is how you will be credited for all of you LV work. In the meantime, I will save this for you and you can begin recording.

Thanks so much!

It looks as if our DPL has disappeared, so I will PL the remaining sections as soon as I can.
Thanks for your patience.

Larry,

Is Section 13 still open? I see the MW says it is but I also see someone put a claim in for it about 3 weeks ago.

If it is open I would be happy to read it so we can wrap this up. If it is not open then, obviously, you can ignore this offer!

Either way, thank you and have a great weekend!

Thanks, Greg.
Yes, I removed the "saved for" note, but have put it back in.
The new reader seemed anxious to do this, but has not even logged in again.
But, I've been told we may have to wait a full two months before we can orphan the section.

I will sure keep you in mind though.

This is my first recording! I am looking forward to growing as a reader, and I appreciate all constructive criticism and advice. Thank you!
So sorry in the delay in getting you a report, Randall.
Our DPL seems to have disappeared, so I'll jump in here.
(See my response to your PM)

This is a superb recording, and I wouldn't change a thing!

I was taken aback at first because your voice sounds so much like a soloist for whom I do proof listening. He is very good, by the way, so that's a complement.

Again, I'm sorry for not getting you off to a better start here, but this is an excellent beginning and I hope we will hear much more of your voice here on LbirVox.

Sorry for the delay, Betty.
We lost our DPL and so I'm just now getting things caught up.
These are both PL OK. :)

BrizeCrize wrote: August 12th, 2020, 3:50 pm I am thrilled that we found a PL for this project, so I finished my final piece. BUT, you may not want to start her out on this particular section (not that it's not interesting, especially when reading the figures for Spain's hearty herd) till she gets some more...uh, let's say dynamic reading under her belt. And by the way, was there once a country or locale called 'Prize"? Huh? (Not an abbreviation either) Oh well, that's how I read it, but it went right past me as to what it meant.

Good job on these tables!
I'm marking this PL OK and also Spot PL on Section 9 is PL OK.
Thanks for reading for this, and sorry for the delay.

THANKS EVRYONEl!

I think I have everything updated.
We may have some orphan sections, so standby if you want to read some more.
I'll do all the rest of the PL, so you can expect timely responses.

I understand, Larry. I'm not going anywhere so I will be happy to help if needed.
