The Gutenberg text for this is giving me "service unavailable". Any idea what the problem might be? I can access other Gutenberg texts.
I tried and got the same error. I tried just gutenberg.org (the main page) and got it, too. I think they're down. (I'm not sure how you could access other texts, then. Maybe it's just part of their array is down?)
Serial novel: The Wandering Jew
Medieval England meets Civil War Americans: Centuries Apart

Thank you!
Since our DPL is occupied with relief efforts in the Oregon fires, I'll be doing the PL for a while at least.
I'm glad to report this is PL OK. What a good start for you.

The reading is very good. I will let you know, however, that this is on the lower range of our range for volume, so you might think about boosting it a bit if future recordings.

Which chapter would you like to read next?
Thanks so much! I'm so glad the reading is good! Sorry about the volume, I'll make sure it's higher next time!
I would love to read 11, Joseph, if it's still open?

One of the few bits of the bible story I know and that is mainly through singing Haydn's musical setting of it :hmm:

Can I add section 5 Abraham. If I read enough of this I might learn something 😺

You've got it!
Abraham is an important figure in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam too.

Thank you, Max!
just one correction needed.
At about 3:33 I hear DEATH OF KORAH, DATHAN, AND ABIRAM., repeated. But, this is actually a caption for an illustration, so they both need to be cut out.
Usually picture and illustration caption are not read unless specified. They are really not part of the text and are just confusing when listening.

Just submit your corrected file under thd same name and post the link and new file length here so we can do a spot check.

Otherwise, very good reading. :)
