Hi Dale,
I prooflistened.
There is a repeat at 6:46 of "Zucker recalled how."
The mention of the source at the beginning can be cut out. It is wonderful other than that.
Thanks,
Amy

Hi:

Edited and reloaded "Youth".

Question -- do you want the source reference left off of all the ones in this collection? I include it for "Mystery and Suspense" , but this is your collection.

Thanks
Dale

Hello everyone, I just uploaded my very first submission to Librivox!

The Star Mouse by Fredric Brown

https://librivox.org/uploads/alg1001/ssf071_thestarmouse_brown_tg_128kb.mp3

Original Text: https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/62109

Duration: 46:52

I would like to be listed in the catalog as The Gribshnobler

I do have a couple of questions/concerns. Many of these stories have a brief intro blurb from their original magazine publication. Are these usually included in the recordings? This recording currently includes the intro blurb. Also, the text only includes "chapter" headings 5 through 8. The first four are missing, and I didn't know where they would normally go, so I only read the 5 - 8. I would also like to point out that the silly german accents were not a choice on my part, but were actually written out that way in the story lol.

Full disclosure: I'm a podcaster and musician and I have another version of this recording which I added music to, which is going to be released online by my friend's label Silber Records. I have also already recorded another story, The Sweeper of Loray by Robert Sheckley, which I will upload as well once I get it edited.
My podcast can be found here: https://gribcast.libsyn.com/

I'm really excited about all this! I've been using Librivox for years now. Let me know if I need to make any changes or corrections and thank you!

I recorded "The Pendulum" by Ray Bradbury.

Recording link: https://librivox.org/uploads/alg1001/ssf071_pendulum_bradbury_vc_128kb.mp3 (13:35).

Text link: https://www.owleyes.org/text/the-pendulum/read/bradbury-short-story

I know it's not from Project Gutenberg, but the story is in the public domain. There's a recording of this story that's already on the platform in sci-fi collection 52, and it's also listed in the Librivox Short Science Fiction Index.

Please let me know if anything should be changed.

Oh, sorry for missing it on those. I would rather not have the source references mentioned. Also, your source has been updated to https://archive.org/details/WeirdTalesV04N04192412/page/n3/mode/2up
It was better to have it on IA.

That is a nice choice.

Hi Gribshnobler,
It is great to have your first recording in this collection. Yes, the intro blurbs are nice to have in the recording. That is odd to only label 5-8. It sounds like you handled it right. I will PL soon.
Thanks for your story!
