Here are all of Artesia's lines (hopefully). I found the text a little hard to read and found several lines I had missed when editing. Hopefully I caught them all. But knowing me, I probably didn't

well, that's why we have DPLers, to find lines that the readers may have missed

but I agreed, this text was quite hard to plough through. But I see this also as part of the fun in drama

Artesia is well characterized, you play her seductive from the start and especially wicked in the scene with Uther.

In the end she was even defiant in the face of death. Great job.

Act 5 is already PL ok, but for the other acts, I do have indeed a few notes:

Act 1:
> at 1:20: (p. 354) "take the report of thy humanity" - I may be mistaken but I hear "humility", which a king probably doesn't want to hear

Act 2:
> at 0:15: (p. 361) "his saucy impudence" - you say "imprudence" if I'hear correctly

Act 3:
> at 0:29: (p. 371) missed lines: "Pleasure like a building, the more high, the narrower still it grows; cedars do die soonest at the top."

Here is Uter Pendragon's lines for Act 2! I fixed the notes I was given, so hopefully it should be good this time. I'll be recording the next act this evening so I should have that done pretty soon as well.

Well my excuse for missing lines was the hard to read text but I can't come up with a good excuse for my mouth not working properly

So glad we have you to make sure we get all the lines where they need to be and spoken correctly

excellently edited, thank you, now all is in and it's PL ok.

The volume is still at only 85 dB, probably you didn't do any amplification ?

Anyway, I'll make a note for Todd in the MW. Also careful, your background noise is a bit pronounced, maybe in later acts you could also consider a noise-reduction round, especially if you amplify the volume a bit.

Failing DPLs? No such thing. Every one of you is an angel for taking on the burden of listening to the play parts piecemeal and having to go through the play like about 100 different times. And then, especially in your case, Sonia, providing uplifting encouragement and useful suggestions for our readers with such tact and insight as to leave me speechless in admiration always.

(Such rumors as you have heard must only arise from my propensity for playing The Bad Guy parts sometimes.)

Here is Act 3 of Uter Pendragon's lines! I amplified it some, but let me know if I need to bump it up a bit more. I just didn't want to make it too loud. I also tried cancelling out the background noise a bit more so hopefully that is good as well. Just let me know if there is anything else I need to do!

I play with volumes as I assemble the play, so the only most important volume things in your submittals are

1. No clipping from excessive volume - that can not be fixed from the mp3 files but requires the original reader to change volume before exporting/uploading the mp3. If there is actually excessive clipping in the original recording, then that might not help.

2. Too little volume for the recording with too much noise on top of it. Then I might not be able to clean it up from the mp3 - effort to do cleaning on the original file before the mp3 is exported can usually solve this.

Common theme is that a little too loud or a little too soft is not a problem, but excessive volume (clipping) or too little volume (swamped by noise) are bad and I can't fix them from the mp3.

it is about the same volume than before though 85.6 dB. I also can "see" the noise level but I personally don't hear too much distracting noise.

How do you amplify if I may ask ? Are you using Audacity ? Do you have the Checker programm to check the volume ? http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker While it is not so important in drama, as the editor will adjust volumes anyway, it would be good to stay in the accepted limits for regular sections in books and compilations.

Uther Act 3 was excellent again. I only found one missing group line:

> at about 1:55: (p. 371) missed Omnes Brittains line: "Tis as false as hell."

Just to let you know that I lost my recording of Anselme a few weeks ago in a HD crash.
I should know next week if I can get my data restored.
