Hello Narvaez,
Welcome among us! You have a very lovely voice to listen to!
There are a few things that need to be addressed, before we can give this recording a green light.
First, some technicalities. The naming scheme of the files for this project goes "flowersfreethought1_xx_foote_128kb.mp3" and yours is named "flowersfreethought1_34_foote128kb.mp3". It usually isn't a big issue, but make sure to check it out before sending your next file, so it doesn't disrupt the flow off cataloguing. This is among your first submissions, so don't worry, it will become a habit as you move forward.
The second thing is the volume. We aim for a volume of 89.0 db, but everything between 87-91 is good. Your recording is currently at 97.4 db which is a bit too loud. Please lower the volume so it matches the rest of the recordings in the series. You can do this through Audacity through the volume slider for around 9db (make sure to save it afterwards.)
For all the technical issues, you can always use the Checker https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Checker that points them out. If the status after processing the file says "Passes with warnings" it usually has to do with the sound.
The other aspect of my notes is regarding the reading:
> 0:54 I hear "Imprisome" and the text says "Imprisonment", please correct it.
> 1:39 I hear "stinks" and text says "sinks", please correct it to match the text.
> 1:43 You probably forgot to edit this one out, there are a couple of tries to pronounce "decrepitude", please edit them out.
> 1:51 Again, edit out the repeats of "the" and "this"
> 2:47 There are 2 second of silence that disturb the flow of the sentence, please edit them out.
> 3:43 - 3:45 A lot of background noise is present here. You can either re-record this sentence or use noise reduction on Audacity.
> 4:04 - 4:07 3 second of silence, please edit them out.
> 5:32 text says "consonant" and I hear "consana" Please correct it.
> 6:36 The text says "allowed" and I only hear "allo". I believe mistakenly cropped while editing. Please correct it.
> 6:47 Text says "infallibility" and I hear "infalabilly" Please correct it so it matches the text.
> 7:40 - 7:42 Another 2 second silence that disturbs the flow, please edit it out.
> 8:48 (the outro) You have read both "End of section 34" and "End of book..." We read the "End of book.." only after the last chapter in the book and yours id 34/51. Please edit that out, so your recording will finish with "End of section 34" (and 5 seconds of silence of course)
Also, there are a few stumbles at 2:02, 1:29, 2:25, 2:30, 5:10, 7:13 and 7:16. You do not to do anything about them now, but keep them in mind for next time.
This might sound like a lot to address, but believe me it is part of the process, and everyone of us encountered and still encounters this. It happens to me a lot, so what I do is when I am done with the editing I play the whole section with the text on my screen and check if what I am reading matches the text, and notice any stumbles or mistakes because they're much easy to notice when you listen to the whole thing, rather than when you're editing it.
Please address the things I pointed out, and send it in again, so I can go through it!
If you need any help, please reach out, I'll be happy to do so!
Best,
Ana

Great, thanks Peter! I have you in for 27, since the reader did not return to do their test. It's yours.
As for the others, there's still about a month left for these readers to turn in their sections, no need to jump the gun. We're doing amazingly well anyway.

We have 2 orphans - 14 and 48 - are you still available, Peter?
Edit: Well, on second thought... I'll take the short one, but 14 is still up for grabs.

Greetings,
If needed I would be willing to give love to that poor abandoned orphan.

Ah, good to know!
I suspect there will be one more section opening soon, haven't heard back from the reader yet. And then it'll probably be time to open up the Second Series.

Section 48 is up.
I have also pm-ed the reader of section 34 about her PL notes in case she didn't see that. Gave a deadline for fixes until the end of this month.

Greetings,
Here is all one needs to know about Judgement Day, i.e., Section 14: https://librivox.org/uploads/availle/flowersfreethought1_14_foote_128kb.mp3
Despite the biblical End predictions being imprecise, this version comes to a definite end after a mere 23mm49ss.
