 oh wow ! Although I kinda expected the ending and what they would find in the safe, hearing it gave me a shudder nevertheless. A creepy story and wonderfully narrated, thank you so much, Julie. I loved it immensely. All PL ok right away. Flawless reading.

We are approaching the end of the project already...once the next section is in and there is only one outstanding, I will launch the next issue. Stay tuned, if interested to participate

I find it interesting that the date when the story claims to take place is several years after the printing of the magazine.

Thanks, Todd

Todd ! you again managed to snatch the story in which a ship is involved. Coincidence or premeditation ? :hmm: And a wonderfully suspenseful story it was. And indeed, interesting that the authors chose to set it into the future, but understandable after the finale. It's a sort of science fiction story, and setting it in the future they don't have to explain why such devices don't exist yet. A bit like Jules Verne.

In the middle of the story I discussed with my sister whether gold, even in large quantities, would be magnetic so as to be attracted by a magnet. We both agreed this was nearly impossible :| There's probably other materials on this ship that would rather be attracted by a supermagnet than gold. But let's not be too scrutinizing in science fiction

The story is excellently narrated and flawless. Straight PL ok. Thank you so much :9:

And as I promised, as soon as we have only one story left I will launch the next issue:

yay, Nemo, you're back :9: and with a wonderfully romantic story. I was hoping for exactly this outcome  beautifully narrated and flawless reading  Can be marked PL ok straight away and that means we are ready for the catalogue 8-)

(only you put it in Kiki's folder instead of mine, but no worries, I fished it out from there  )
So sorry the next issue is already fully claimed, but maybe there will be orphans, so it might be worth getting it bookmarked ;)

As always, here are my small teasers for the stories, I hope everyone is pleased with theirs:
The mystery of the thirty millions: what happened to the large ocean-steamer that inexplicably vanished in mid-Atlantic ?
The man at Solitaria: after 15 years of solitary work, a man is finally going postal
The compass of Fortune: the eyes of a mysterious skull seem to be looking into one specific direction
A surgical love-cure: a patient asks his doctor to have love surgically removed from him
The Williamson safe mystery: what horrible discovery did the men make on opening the safe ?
How small the World: an exchange of a series of letters finally leads to two people finding together
Thank you so much for all your contributions: Bhavesh, J, Julie, Nemo, Rita and Todd :9:

Cataloguing process launched...will post link when finished.
