Cynthia might be a nice girl, and perhaps you are making a smart, rather than a witless, choice?

Thanks, Todd

Gave the French a second try; we'll see if this is any closer.

Brisk, Act 1 (corrected), duration 5:01

poor Brisk is probably the only one who loves about this feeble jokes  you are so excellently silly in this performance (it's a compliment even if it may not sound like one), wonderful job, Mike, thank you so much.

PL ok

Has anyone claimed the role of Careless? I'd like to, if not. Thank you!

Nothing really happened. Perhaps something will happen in the next act.

Thank you.

Nothing happened? Isn't "may you live in interesting times" a curse?

I need to cite a few sentences that I just heard you utter:
this morning she surprised me in my bed. [...] she omitted nothing that the most violent love could urge, or tender words express [...] then came the storm I feared at first, for, starting from my bed-side like a fury, she flew to my sword, and with much ado I prevented her doing me or herself a mischief. Having disarmed her, in a gust of passion she left me, and in a resolution, confirmed by a thousand curses, not to close her eyes till they had seen my ruin.
seriously, Adrian ! how much action do you need ?

And don't you worry, Mellefont will be cheated, abused, treated with suspicion, disinherited, flirted with, nearly raped, un-engaged from Cynthia and re-engaged to Cynthia in the next 4 acts. I guess you will find something interesting in there.

As for Act 1: it's PL ok. Love the portrayal you're doing of Mellefont. Thanks !

those three have found and deserve each other   Brisk must have been a hoot in the early days, I bet he was an audience favourite. You're really getting into character here, Mike...I dread how he will evolve till the end of the play if you go on at this rate

(looking forward to it too  )

Thanks, all PL ok :)

Maskwell describes her as “the thinking man’s Harley Quinn”.
