I've never hear Junco pronounced the way she does it -- joon-ko, and all the pronunciation sites have it only as Juncko.
She does struggle a lot with her words . . . .
Larry that last comment is not appropriate to make for people who volunteer their time to read for Librivox.

Perhaps Larry meant to send that as a PM. I agree that it shouldn't have been posted on the forum with the last comment.

I do however also agree that Junco should be pronounced with a short u.

While pronunciation isn't part of standard PL, I hope that you will consider making the changes to section 17.

Oh, Lynda, I am so sorry!
It was indeed intended as a PM, and I didn't mean this to be a slight -- we all struggle with words. You wouldn't believe how much I just had to cut out of the piece I just edited. My tongue was tangle all over the place. And, I've had PLs ask for me to redo things that I've mispronounced. So, please accept my apologies. Yes, we are ALL volunteers here.

Did listen to this last night just before my computer died. Borrowed one for a few minutes this morning.
It is PL OK, and that wraps up another volume of Birds!
