CBJason wrote: July 31st, 2020, 2:38 pm No one wants section 1? Seems like that'd be the one to take :)

(Hint: I'll take Section 1: The Two Sieges of Louisburg (1745 anad 1758) by A.G. Bradley, Pages 3-14 )

A quick skim shows no dialog...last one I did about halfway in, realized not only was there dialog, but three of the four voices were women. I suspect it would all be in a British dialog, so had to pass on it. :)

List me as CBJason in the logging if you would.
Section 1 is yours! :) Enjoy!

That was an easy/fun read actually, I cheated by doing it last night before permission actually was granted, but now that permission granted, I'll go ahead with the upload:

There was one mispronunciation that I overdubbed - let me know if there's anything else that needs correction. Cheers! :)

Section 1 is nicely read and no comments on the actual reading. Only please trim the end and beginning silences to the required length: beginning silence should be 0.5 to 1 second (you have almost 4) and end silence - about 5 seconds (closer to 8 at the moment). With that and the file name correction, the file will be good to go!

Wow - quite the newbie style flubs there. Promise, I am usually much better at following instructions than this suggests. File trimmed, renamed, and uploaded here:

Here is section 22, The Battles of Trenton & Princeton

I recently moved from just south of Washington Crossing State Park in PA where Washington's crossing the Delaware to NJ is reenacted every Christmas Day as long as conditions on the river allow it. :)

Please use your own judgement as to footnotes. If the note contains information that supplements the story or adds some interesting detail, in general, if it looks to you like worth reading, then read it. Say "footnote"... read the note ... say "end of footnote" and go on with the text. If the note is some technicality like a book reference or something like that, or if you feel it interrupts the story more than does any good, you can skip it.
