Here is sec 48 - 7m39s Nancy

I have marked section 48 as PL OK in the MW, but I wanted to point out something to you in the recording which takes place at 6:22. There, the sound changes markedly (for the better) and lasts but for a very brief period of time. Would you mind taking a look at this and letting me know whether or not you want it to stand as it is? Also, perhaps to identify what it is that is occurring that caused the change? On my computer, that difference in sound is the difference between mic and no mic.

Thank you for your interest.
I will save this section for you, but we do request all new readers first to complete a short test recording.
I strongly suggest that you read our Newbie Guide to Recording: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Newbie_Guide_to_Recording

This has a lot of important information that will get you off to a good start.
The second section has the information you need for recording and submitting that preliminary recording.

One you have the official "OK" on that, post again here and I will assign it to you.

Correction (?) to sec 48 - 7m39s Nancy

redid that one sentence several times and it still sounds a bit different but it's the best i could do. I try to never move my mic and try to speak at the same level. Not sure what happened. It is a very short section - can redo it if you would prefer. No problem. :)

Correction to sec 41 - 4m28s Nancy

note: Borrowed some headphones and think I found the noise (hopefully!) you were talking about! Sorry it took me a while.

Nancy, it sounds as if you evened out the sound in 48, so thanks (it's already PL OK).

Section 49 is PL OK too.

Thank you, Vivian, for your recording. I have a few notes:

At :25, delete "section 20"
1:10-1:17 this part is extremely jumpy and uneven
2:48 there is a repeat of: and and
3:23 I heard "on location" should be "on this occasion"
3:55 few categories should be fewer categories than
6:10 I heard "to puzz out a thing" should be "to puzzle out a thing"
6:54 very long drawn out "in"

Please remove 1 second at the end

I would ask you as you are editing, to keep a lookout for places where phrasing has become jumpy or awkward. Sometimes when I am trying to figure out how to say a certain word or phrase and I stumble on it, I immediately record it again properly and then just delete it when I'm editing. That technique could definitely help you.
