The French Foreign legion has been exported to Space as the Space foreign legion. Can these besieged troops survive on a world intend on killing them and with a command that is indifferent to their survival? They are fighting now on Jupiter and the natives, led by their Dragon Queen, are winning, killing them slowly but surely. Earth and Mars need places for people to live and grow food but Jupiter may be too hard a nut to crack. Will the Legion be able to hold off the hordes Beetle Bombs and venomous snakes until a relief column arrives? Or will they die in horrible pain like most of them already have? And then the Dragon Queen uses the ultimate weapon, a parasite that stops them from drinking any water.( phil chenevert )

Part 1 is ready for PL. Note that at 23:13 I changed the text from Venus to Jupiter. It was obviously a typo since this story takes place on Jupiter.
And then hordes of white-haired warriors would swarm out, led by that beautiful fury on the winged lizard, rouse the more lethargic pastoral tribes against the colonists, and sweep outland Peoples from the face of Venus.
Part 1

Yes, I completely overlooked that second Venus thanks for catching it. Part 2 has been repaired and uploaded.
And this was a good story to read with interesting dialog and fun emotions to act out but the arrogant colonial assumptions were very indicative of the times. we must 'civilize' the natives .. or kill 'em, whichever seems easiest. I also liked the idea of a French Foreign Legion in space filled with desperate men running away from their pasts. Also cool. AND I got to sing!!!!

It’s a wonderful performance. I enjoyed how many changes you were able to do in such a little story. Certainly need to find more by this author.
Part 2 is spot check pl ok. I’m not at my computer so I can’t toggle the workflow but it really is pl ok.
