COMPLETE[ANIMALS]The Living Animals of the World, Volume 2: Birds, Reptiles and Amphibians, Fishes, Molluscs, etc. -Leni
Hey Leni,
I am preparing my texts and have a Q:
I know the instructions say not to read picture captions.
But in the text of (e.g.) section 42, "Sharks and Rays," paragraph 1, it says:
"The largest of these, the great Basking-shark (of which a photograph, taken at Mevagissey, is given below), illustrates, in its harmless person, the fallacy of condemning all sharks as man-eaters, since in this, the largest of its race, we have an absolutely innocuous fish."
I am to read the parenthetical reference to the photo, right?
Thanks very much...LJB

Hello, and thanks for asking! Yes, in that case, I would read the text in the parentheses, because it is actually part of the text, not a caption. And if people want to see the photo, they can check the book online.maxgal wrote: ↑July 26th, 2020, 12:50 pm Hey Leni,

I see you already have had your test OKed, so you are ready to go. Should I credit you in the catalog as Joshua Stevenson or would you like a different name added there?
The sections are assigned to you!
