Wlee wrote: July 19th, 2020, 2:20 pm Hello BC Kevin. If it's not too late, I would like to do "Fifteen Thousand Dollars" by Sarah Knowles Bolton.

Thank you for joining us here at LibriVox. "Fifteen Thousand Dollars" is being recorded by another member. Would you like to choose something else?

I see, that's rather unfortunate. Then I shall do "A Straggler of '15" by Arthur Conan Doyle

Here's my second contribution:
https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/fifteen_effectof15thamendment_walker_mk_128kb.mp3
Length - 09:02
Title - The Force, Effect, and Extent of the 15th Amendment
Author - William E. Walker
Source - From the April 7, 1870 issue of "New Era" newspaper, on the Library of Congress website
https://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/sn84024437/1870-04-07/ed-1/seq-3/

Also, just a note to say I've been having computer issues for about a week now, (several "black screen of death" episodes), so I'm a bit concerned that my computer might be going to crash anytime. I hope that is not the case, but if I should suddenly disappear from LV without warning, I wanted you to know why. If there are any PL notes for this contribution, I just didn't want you to think I'm ignoring them. Fingers crossed that the computer's issues are now resolved, but we shall see!

Hello Tricia, and thank you for letting us be part of this great accomplishment of uncompensated community service! In the spirit of complaining about the virtues of uncompensated community service, my contribution to this collection is called THE Whores and Bawd's ANSWER TO THE Fifteen Comforts OF WHORING, a lovely collection of rhyming iambic pentameter that I found on Project Gutenberg. Here are the links and specs:

Librivox upload link: https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/fifteen_whoring_unknown_lmb_128kb.mp3
Link where it can be found on PG: http://www.gutenberg.org/files/13972/13972-h/13972-h.htm
Length of recording: 12:26 (incl. 1 sec before and 5 secs after)
My name as it should appear in the catalog: Lyons McBean

Thanks again!

You're welcome! But Kevin's the one in charge of this project, so I guess you should thank him. I'm just the wizard behind the curtain, getting things set up and cataloged.
Serial novel: The Wandering Jew
Medieval England meets Civil War Americans: Centuries Apart
Humor: My Lady Nicotine

EDIT: adam, please disregard what follows. I see you have read the poems themselves. Many thanks to you!

adamhiller, thank you for your interest.

We would prefer that all submissions to this collection be unique. As you may have not seen, we have "Fifteen Comforts" already submitted by Soupy.

We would prefer that you record something new, but I don't wish to discourage your efforts. If you wish to go ahead with this submission, just let me know and I will place it in the Magic Window for proof-listening.

On the Fifteen Comforts. I think the first submission is just the preface. I assume these are the actual rhymes/poems. So they should be different from wat is already recorded.
