1:36 sough pronounced sow or suhf (https://www.dictionary.com/browse/sough) You said soo

missing "This recording is in the public domain" at the end of the recording.
Here is the corrected file
https://librivox.org/uploads/knotyouraveragejo/birdsaug1897_09_various_128kb.mp3 2:05

I'm going to stay with my pronunciation.
The word here is "slough" (not sough)
As a verb it is "sluff" but as a noun it can be either "slow" or "sloo." Where I'm from these marshy areas are "sloos." (or slews or slues or something although that is enough tough stuff to get through)

Thank you for your effort in recording these!
They are nicely read, and you handle the scientific name with alacrity. :)

There are, however, a few things that need to be corrected.

First, the volume on both of these is far too low, measuring only 78 dB. Our target is 89 dB with a range of 86-92 acceptable. If you are using Audacity, run the Amplify feature on the entire file and set it to +10.

Then there a couple of notes for the reading which are minor, but easy to correct.

Section 11
1:12 slight stumble “gro- growing louder” (easy to cut out)
Also, the ending silence is only about one second. We need about 5 seconds.

Section 19

There are special instructions for the Summary Chapter clearly marked in the Magic Window -- do not read the page numbers --
So, could you please clip these out?

2:45 loud snap (easy to cut out)

Upload your corrected files under the same file name and post the link here again with the new file lengths.

Let us know if you have any questions or need help with this.

Great job on the corrections, so these are now PL OK.

I see solid green now, which means we are done with this volume, and it goes on the LibriVox bookshelf.
