Hi again,

I see that we are close to finishing this, so... if you would like/allow me to read the Hon. Ross section to get it closer, I am sure that I can read it in a way that it wouldn't be at all confused with Dr. Gilman. Just let me know. :)

I will grab your offer before you change your mind! :D
As long as they are not consecutive speakers, I am in favour of having the same readers read second sections. And I am sure you will do a splendid reading!
Thank you for offering! I will sign you right up! Please use "Honorable John W. Ross, read by [your name]" for the credit! Thanks!

Here is section 17.

As I have read these and done some research, Hubbard was really quite a guy. He has a mountain in Alaska named after him, but the desire of Dr. (LLd) Ross was not achieved, because as far as I can determine, there is not a 'municipal building' in DC named after him. :(

Thank you, Wayne!

Your recording is PL OK.

I'm also impressed by what was said about him on his memorial service, because even though he wrote articles in the magazine, he hadn't covered all his interests, so there was a big part of his life and purpose that was unknown to me.

Rapunzelina,

It looks like you haven’t heard from anyone else since my last post 10 days ago and need only one more reader. If you are willing to let me try one more, I will try Dr. Whitman. It may be a few days but I will get it done. :)

Thanks,

Wayne

Well, here is section 12: https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/ngm09_02_12_128kb.mp3

Time: 9:24

The only question I have is that it doesn't sound loud enough. :hmm: According to Checker it is at 88.8, but listening to it it sounds soft. Let me know if there is something I need to do to it.

Thanks,

Wayne

wow, I think Dr Whitman's was the most touching speech of all.

You're right, I did have to turn up the volume a bit while listening. But you don't need to do anything more to the recording. During final editing, I will amplify as needed to match the volumes of the rest of the tracks to be combined.

Thank you, Wayne! :9:

A.M.B.

Between illnesses, work, and vacation, May wasn't my best Librivox month. But I'm back and ready to do some more recording, editing, and PLing!
