And Chapter 1 now has the voice credits and is ready for final PL. (Spot PL if you wish - the rest of the chapter was already PL OK.)

Thanks, Todd

Hello Todd,

I just checked the voice credits in section 1, comparing them with the list in the post here:
viewtopic.php?f=27&t=41976&p=1737352&hilit=cast#p1737352

Ellen Olenska by Lydia missing from credits.
Narration by Pari missing from credits.

at 2:19 "Dr Carver read by Bob Newfeld" does not appear in the written cast list

I also noted, FYI as this has already been marked PL OK,
10:56 1.5s pause in middle of sentence

Best,
Adrian

Thank you, Todd.
The only thing I noticed is probably out of scope for a final PL, so this is optional -
the M Riviere parts at 17:57, 19:00 ... have excessive levels of background noise.
A notch filter at 120Hz Q=2 reduced it significantly.

Best Regards,
Adrian

(Ellen by Lydia was already at 0:30)
I added a credit for Pari at 3:06
I removed the pause at 10:56
Ready for final final spot PL

Also, I added Dr Carver by Bob to the written cast list in the MW database.

Thank you for catching these.

Did the notch filtering you suggested where you suggested it. My hearing hears no difference though I can see that the voice is cleaner in Audacity. (Back when I recorded that 8 years ago(?) I always used a small handheld recorder so I'm not surprised there was noise.)

Ready for spot PL.

Thanks, Todd

Hello Tod. I note you did the filter at 17:57 which improved the backgroun, but not at subsequent Riviere lines. As my original note was optional, I'm going to mark the PL OK, and we can move on.

Thanks,
Adrian

This project is complete. All audio files can be found on the catalog page: https://librivox.org/the-age-of-innocence-dramatic-reading-by-edith-wharton/

Thank you all who have contributed your voices over the years. And especially to Adrian for being the final DPL on this.

Thanks, Todd

Todd - this is marked as Validation in the database. I assume it's supposed to be marked Complete?
School fiction: David Blaize
Exploration: The First Four Voyages of Amerigo Vespucci
Serial novel: The Wandering Jew
Medieval England meets Civil War Americans: Centuries Apart
Humor: My Lady Nicotine

Sorry - there were two files that didn't upload and I had to "uncomplete" to get the filenames to show in the MW so I could send them separately to Archive. I have changed it back to "Complete" again.

Thanks, Todd
