Hi Cristina! Welcome to Librivox!

Everything is great with your recording setup! Correct tech specs, nice volume, clear sound!

I am using headphones and I hear the faintest background noise, so only optionally, (if in Audacity) you can try Noise Reduction and see if it makes any difference to your ears. https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Noisecleaning_With_Pics#Clean_up_the_Noise:_Audacity_versions_from_2.1.0

Either way, you are ready to get involved! Browse the Readers Wanted forums for projects that interest you and have fun!

Thank you so much, I will definitely look into the noise reduction effect!

Are there any resources in figuring out how to sign up to read and volunteer for sections / projects? Do we use the magic window to sign up?

I appreciate any advise you can give!

The first post of the projects contains all the information you need. The magic windows are updated by the BC (book coordinator), usually the person who posted the project, so if you find a book that you would like to read for, you can claim open sections by posting in the thread. Then the BC will respond when they see your post, and you can begin recording! :D
