I'll take a crack at Hearts of Three by Jack London as a solo. I've started the process in the Launch Pad.

I think I would like to try to take on The Book of Buried Treasure https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/33318

HUGE book - about 13-14 hours of finished recording! You may want to do at least a couple longer sections in group projects first, to get a feel for recording and editing long sections.

Hi! I'm planning on reading Blackbeard: Buccaneer, and was wondering if I should post my recordings to this forum. Also, is there a specific filename and MC I should use when saving my files?

Thanks!

Please do a 1-minute test first, though.

These tests are usually posted elsewhere, but this will work.

Your volume is at least 6dB too low. If you would bring it up, say, 8dB, then you'll be ready.

I'll check back a bit later.

And welcome!

Thanks so much for taking a look at this Kevin!

I did an additional recording with higher amplification of my volume. Please let me know if this is better: https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/testing_2_-_amplified_volume.mp3

Thanks again for your help and guidance!

Awesome! Thanks Kevin.

Should I post my chapter by chapter recordings of Blackbeard: Buccaneer here in this forum, or elsewhere? Also, when uploading, who should I select as the MC?

Best,
Carlos

The MC selects you. For me, however, they have a policy of forcing the one who draws the short straw to MC mine.
