Little confession: I'm obviously an idiot. :roll:
I had claimed a section in one of my projects and promptly read the wrong chapter (which had already been completed)... I did notice something was off because the text dragged on and on, but only at the very end did I realise my mistake. *sigh*

Thankfully, the chapters can stand alone, so I'm giving you

Hi Availle, "Waste not, want not..." As you know, a chapter from a solo, as long as it's read separately (i.e. not re-used) is acceptable for LibriVox. So, thank you for this contribution to volume 076! :) My only concern is that we have the right chapter. Chapter 8 from Sternberg's book is "First Expedition to the Permian of Texas in 1882." I listened to the intro of the recording you sent up and you announce it as Chapter 8, and by that name. However, in your post, you say the chapter you read twice is, "Expeditions in the Permian of Texas for Professor Cope (1895-1897) which is Chapter 9 in the book. So, could you please double check which chapter you want included in the SNF?

I should have read Prof. Cope (and I did later that night), but what I did read unnecessarily was "First Expedition to the Permian of Texas in 1882" and this is what you should have.

I would like to record Chapter IV - The Motion Picture of Fairy Splendor (pg. 30-38) from The art of the Motion Picture. Your suggestion to read chapter V - The Picture of Crowd Splendor drew me in, but the beginning of that chapter seems to be missing.

Hi Savannah, Welcome to LibriVox and to the Short Nonfiction Collection! :D I'm pleased that one of my recording suggestions "drew you in." :9: I apologize that the link in my old post led to a defective copy of Vachel Lindsay's The Art of the Moving Picture. Hathi Trust has several copies of the book, and in the copy to which I linked in the previous post https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=gri.ark:/13960/t2f779r20&view=1up&seq=44 ) both chapters IV and V look to be complete. You are welcome to read which ever chapter you like. Looking forward to your recording! :)

For those who might be wondering what I had to say about the movies in 2013 (myself included!), here's my post

It dissects the music for a single silent film, “The Rose of the World,” scene by scene. “Captain S. is married to a 16-year old girl named Rose, who is very beautiful, but as yet has not awakened to a realization of life and love. (Main love theme, intensely emotional.) etc. etc. There’s also a list of piano repertoire to evoke robbers, villains, and vampires!
