Hello Jennifer,
Love the acting you put into this somewhat anodyne piece.

PL NOTES
One correction: @ 0:18 missing line "What are they?"

Thanks,
Adrian
Anodyne is a great word. Love it. I'll take care of that and get it back to you,

Hello Michelle,
Thank you for your reading. Very clear, and very scheming!

PL OK!

One note for future dramatic readings, where there is a stage directioin such as "(aside)" please leave a 2s pause. This visually marks the location so that the editor can edit in the narration of this stage direction. There were a couple of places in this part where you did not do that. It doesn't matter for this part, as I'm the editor.

Thanks again,
Adrian
Hello Lisette,
Would you please revise and re-upload adding ", maid to the widow" in your voice credit?
My apologies for not spotting this the first time around.

Best Regards,
Adrian

benderca wrote: June 8th, 2020, 6:47 am I took out a couple of the stage directions, when voice tone made them clear and when if left in they would have interrupted the flow, but I left most in. I was considering taking out several more, but I'd like a second opinion. When PLing, please feel free to comment also on the spacing and volume. :D

Thanks,
TJ
PL OK. I think you could have taken out more of the voice tone stage directions if you wished, but I have no problem with leaving them in. It is intended to be a very awkward situation, and I can easily picture people saying nothing but speechlessly giving potent glares at each other before they do speak.

Other spacing fine and volume also fine.

Thanks, Todd
Thanks, Todd! I think I'll give it another listen, because I was leaning towards taking a few more stage directions out. But I agree with you that the pauses are sometimes effective as well. Especially the "raises her eyebrows" pauses... :D
Todd, I took out a few more of the stage directions and I think it flows better now. (I left many in for the dramatic pauses, however). I have the original version saved as well, if you think I should revert to the original version.

I took out the following stage directions (time stamps are for the current version) -- I have the time stamps from the original version as well, if you'd like to compare.

4:42 Enid (a bit impatiently)
5:01 Enid (stoutly)
5:38 Mrs. Packard (pouncingly)
6:28 Enid (worried)
10:15 Diana (furiously)
10:36 Mrs. Packard (angrily)
10:46 Mrs. Packard (furiously)

Can I claim Walt in "Dod Gast Ye Both!"?
A.M.B.

Between illnesses, work, and vacation, May wasn't my best Librivox month. But I'm back and ready to do some more recording, editing, and PLing!

I can do it if you don’t mind a female voice for it.
