Can we use any recording software other than Audacity and GarageBand . As both of these are not available for Android.

You can use anything that gets you the correct tech specs, and that you can use to edit (record and plug in replacement audio - that's a big one).

I don't know anything about it, but someone else mentioned using "Lexis Audio Editor" on their Android.

Tech settings:
Channels: 1 (Mono)
Sample rate: 44100 Hz
Sample format: 16 bit
Export format: MP3
Export bitrate: 128 kbps constant
Volume: 89 dB, plus or minus a couple dB (about -16 LUFS, I think)

But what do you mean by plug in replacement audio?

Say you record something wrong, or accidentally skip a phrase. You upload the file, and the proof listener says something like:

7:24 - omitted text: "Juliet, who was the darling of her family, was in love with Romeo."

You'd need to record that phrase (or the whole sentence) and plug it in where it belongs. Make sure you use an app that does this and isn't simply a voice recorder which allows no edits.

I use and recommend Studio One. I use the paid version (which I think at about $70 is good value for the money) but there is a free version called Prime. Don Baarns of Red Baarns Audio has a lot of free videos to help you learn to use it.
