I forgot to ask if you have a display name. We have two names here: the forum name and the display name. The display name is what the public see in our catalog. It can be your real name, the same as your forum name, or nearly anything you wish it to be.
Yes, my display name is the same as my forum name.

Hi Kevin!

I am hoping to record my sections soon and was wondering how you would like 'musicale' pronounced. I was a music major and my first instinct is to pronounce it just like your note in the MW. However, try as I might I cannot think of an instance where I actually used that word, though I must admit it has been some time since my studies!

This is the edits for section 20.
*cut 1 second from starting silence
*please delete from 2:13.5-2:33 as there are duplicate words beginning @2:33
*add 1 second silence to end silence.
*please do noise reduction once more as the background sound level is
at 34.8 whereas standard is 24.2

I also noticed you have pauses before each paragraph that are a bit lengthier than needed. Nothing need be done about it now though you may wish to be aware and limit those areas for future recordings.

Overall, it was a wonderful section to listen to.
Hi!
Thank you so much for these notes! I apologize for the mistake/double wording—somehow that deletion wasn't saved along the way, my first time with librivox and audacity so thank you for your patience and feedback! I have tried to incorporate these changes, I can't quite see what my background noise is registering at by I have significantly increased the noise reduction, trying to avoid sounding too tinny! Please let me know if I can make further adjustments. All best!

Hi April -

Here is my original file that I had PL'd. I checked it and it does not have the issues you pointed out.

https://librivox.org/uploads/kathrinee/etiquettemadeeasy_09_squier_128kb.mp3 - 10:59

It does not matter who it is - if you are PL'ing and get half way or a quarter way into a file and it sounds like it has not been edited (I usually check the end of the file too and if the 5 seconds have not been trimmed it is a good giveaway) feel free to post about it as it is usually very simple - the person uploaded the wrong version of the file.

Entirely up to you. The 'old' pronunciation might give a flavor of the older sense of etiquette demonstrated in the reading.

Hello here is my conclusion to the edits that I had posted for you to make.

It was your file though I see how I have confused you with my suggested edits.
I now will post the time as seconds and/or minutes as it would be most helpful for all.

I have listened to your audios again and while the in-drawn breaths can remain, there is still the wording at the beginning of your audios that needs to be corrected.
All 3 of them, 17, 18 & 19, need the title of the section following the section number please as it is shown in the thread, "Chapter [number and title] of Etiquette Made Easy"

I am very appreciative of your readings and your patience with me. Thank you and have a great day today!

Valentina's explanation is correct so thank you for that, Valentina.

7/8 edits:
section 05-
excellently edited, pl okay

section 11-
also excellent editing though another noise reduction is needed as the background sound is at 42.5, a touch higher than preferred, which is around 24.2
Please post again when completed.

section 17-
editing well done, thank you.
deamplifying by about 1.5 should be done here as the volume is up at 92.6 from 85.5 where it was prior to the edits that you did.

section 18-
pl okay

section 19-
pl okay

Jennlea,
Your sections 14 & 15 are pl okay. Well done and "musicales" sounds properly pronounced to me.
