Hi Evan,
Great reading!
The file just needs two little things. Reduce the opening silence to 1 second and the closing silence to 5 seconds. Please reupload it after you make the changes.
Thanks!

Thanks Amy,
I've re-uploaded with a trimmed outro, but after examining the waveform it seemed the intro was already exactly 1 second? Let me know if it's still unacceptable.

Hi Evan,
It is perfect now and an entertaining contribution to the collection.
Thanks!

Hi Amy,
Trying something different here with my first long read and some sound effects. Let me know if it's ok. Track level is at 88.4 db, closest MP3gain would put it.
Hi Liam,
This is a wonderful piece of voice-acting. The sound effects worked well. I enjoyed it.
PL OK
Thank you!

Unfortunately, some people will probably not adapt to "new homes".
Thanks

Hi Dale,
It is very sad. Pioneers take on so much unknown risk.
There is one repeat at 3:10, "Her brother Alex who had been killed in the Normandy landing."
Thanks!

I found a post on the forum from 2011 listing yet-to-be-read sci-fi, but as far as I could tell Mr Sevcik's poor story was still waiting for a reader...

Hi again Amy,
Hope you found the Zen you needed!

Hi Evan,
You will be the first to narrate it. It's great to get it into the catalog.
I will PL soon.
Thank you! Have a great day!

I hadn't recorded in a while and I decided to give this short story a go. While editing I realized I have a few plosives but I hope it's not too bad. As a second pair of ears, you'll let me know if it needs more work. Thank you Amy! (goes to show, one needs a test recording also when they haven't recorded for a while...)
Hi Rapunzelina,
I haven't heard your voice in a long time. I look forward to listening! I'll PL soon.
Thanks for this

Hi Rapunzelina,
It sounded good to me. That was a funny one. They held out hope! ha
PL OK
Thank you!
