Felicity, Chapter 21:

0:26
You left out the word "extra" in this sentence:
"We are not up to any dev--any extra bad mischief. Writing down one's dreams isn't mischief at all."

I'm not sure how extra important the word is here -- so I'll let you choose whether or not to revise it. You know your character best. :D

Felicity, Chapter 22:

0:25
You said "in" instead of "into" -- I wasn't going to mention it, but "into" gives the impression of the screech moving and "in" is more stationary... :hmm: (I clearly have too much time on my hands  ) -- Your call
"We heard you clean over into our room."

Thanks, Jenn!

Felicity, Chapter 23 is PL OK, but I was considering having you read a few lines of the narrator's part in the second paragraph of page 3:

"She first threatened that she would never speak to him again if he didn't tell her; and then she promised him that, if he did, she would let him walk beside her to and from Sunday School all the rest of the summer, and carry her books for her. "

It's in 3rd person, but it could sound like Felicity is reporting to Bev and Felix what Peter had agreed to do, and it would sound more entertaining in Felicity's voice. :D If you'd like to do that, just add it to the beginning of chapter 23 or upload it as a separate file.

Felicity, Chapter 24
2:27 (p. 9)
Could you please shriek with the other children -- right after your gasp?

Felicity, Chapter 27
0:32
The line reads "of" but I hear "to" (which changes the meaning):
"I don't believe it's right to talk of God as if you were well acquainted with Him,"

0:57
You left out "any," which doesn't change the meaning, but does change the tone -- instead of a child sitting around talking, it sounds like an academic... except using an adjective "awful" instead of and adverb "awfully" definitely makes it sound like a child...

"Wouldn't it be awful funny if any one wrote a story about a fat hero--"

Felicity, Chapter 32
1:09 (p. 3)
You left out the word, "for":
"Perhaps you'd like to send for Kitty Marr, too--though she DOES laugh at your big mouth."

Felicity Chapters 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, & 31 are PL OK.

Excellent acting!

Thanks, Jenn

Thanks, Sparkles!

All of these recordings are a little too loud. I can adjust and work with most of them, except I am not yet sure about Chapter 32 which is 98.7 dB (instead of 86-92 dB), with considerable clipping:

https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Setting_Recording_Input_Level#Peaking_.28Clipping.29

I may need you to rerecord - I'll let you know.

Please download Checker 0.96 and drag your final file into the box and check the volume before you submit it:
https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker

Also, don't forget to leave a 3 second space in between your lines, even when the narrator inserts something (no need to change these now, as I can work with them, but keep it in mind for the future).

Aunt Janet Chapters 12, 18 & 20 are PL OK.

Aunt Janet, Chapter 24:

00:09 The line is: "positively sinful in us to be so worked up over a cat

I hear: "positively sinful of you to be so worked up over a cat" (which changes the meaning a bit).

Thanks,
TJ
Could I please ask you to rerecord Aunt Janet's lines for Chapter 32 with your microphone set to a lower volume? The clipping really distorts your voice.

Thanks,
TJ

Chapters 24 & 25 are PL OK! Nicely done (great "yelp of pure terror"!)

Chapter 26:
00:26
"They're good things." -- could you please read this line again? The "are" seems to have faded and that makes the sentence sound unclear to me. You can do it in a separate file if you like, or tack it on the end of the next file you submit.

Great sermons!

Chapter 27 is also PL OK! Nice grunting! I will definitely be able to use those!

Thanks, Julian!
I've re-recorded that line in Chapter 26. Not sure about my shrieks of delight in 31 but I think the laughter turned out pretty well

Yay! I'll sign you up! I'm planning to start the sequel as soon as this one is finished -- I haven't read it yet, but it looks like Peter plays an important role in it.
