Hello Rapunzelina,

My name is Tristan Mazurek, and I wanted to help contribute to the Short Poetry collection. I've been wanting to do voiceover work for years, and reading poetry seems like a really good way to dip my toes into the water. I hope I haven't forgotten anything in this submission!

For a text to be in the public domain, it needs to have been published more than 95 years ago, i.e. before 1925. I don't know if Georgiana ever published her writings, but the closest I could find for the poem you are suggesting, is one in "The Ladies' Own Memorandum-book, Or Daily Pocket Journal, for the Year 1802" under the title "An unfortunate mother to her infant at her breast" and not attributed to anybody. So in your recording, you would use this title and say "An unfortunate mother to her infant at her breast, by Anonymous" and read from here:

What you do consistently, month after month -- well pretty much day after day, is a marvelous contribution to the LibriVox mission and to the LV community. Something a bit different for this month, a poem that introduces a book. The author of the poem was a student and admirer of Erasmus Darwin.

This is part of a separate project I hope to explore, which is to introduce some Arabic literature in translation (as well as Islamic historical documents that are PD) into the catalogue. The poet is regrettably so obscure that he does not have his own Wikipedia article. The book by Lyall used as the source is probably the most extensive biographical data on him. As to who to link the poem to in the Librivox catalogue, I think that it would make some sense to link it to Charles James Lyall (1845-1920), who was something of a celebrity himself. I've included a link to the Wikipedia article on Lyall, because I don't think there's a record for him in the Librivox catalogue either.

This must be a translation, so you have to check if it was published before 1925 and is thus in the public domain.
